Senior Operations Officer, U.S. Department of Defense, 1981-2007: Served as collector,
analyst and reporter in specialized DoD joint intelligence programs and operations for a broad
interagency (inside and outside the Intelligence Community) consumer base. Exercised
supervisory authority over teams of overseas personnel and equipment inventories; promoted to
GS-15 (highest non-executive) level; posted throughout Europe (including the Balkans), North
Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Managed joint programs, special operations, liaison
and cooperation with senior members of all Intelligence Community agencies and organizations.
Drafted and delivered analyses with tactical and strategic impact in areas of force protection,
counterterror and counterinsurgency. In high-threat and combat conditions, prevented attacks
upon U.S. and allied personnel, located kidnapped U.S. and allied citizens and created successful
models for intelligence support to U.S. and allied military operations which are in use today.
