Responsibilities:
The position of Claims Administrative Assistant assists the Claims
Department with overall general administration duties. This position
reports to the Claims Clerical Supervisor.
Typical duties at this level include:
. Scan and track incoming business documents
. Distribute scanned documents to claims staff in a timely manner
. Create new claim files
. File documents
. Use Microsoft applications and data management systems
. Communicate with outside vendors
. Complete subpoena requests
. Process error items
. Process bill payments
. Backup to reception as needed
. Ad hoc assignments as necessary
Requirements:
. Minimum of 2 - 4 years administrative experience
. Strong customer service skills
. Detail oriented, well organized, self-directed
. Excellent communication skills
. Ability to plan, organize and complete work within established
time frames
. Ability to work as part of a team
. Microsoft Office
. Working knowledge of database management systems
