Work:
Auto Solutions Magazine/ASMSearch.com - Manchester, NH
Designer/Web Associate
September 2009 - October 2010
Initially at this job, I started out part-time filling ads. After 3
weeks I was working
full-time. At this point, I began to hard-code and style the website
to the owner
and creative director's specifications to standardize each page. I
also updated the
100+ page website every week with the new ad content, and did other
site
maintenance. As part of an ongoing project, I am adding Wordpress to
the site and
integrating all of the pages into that format.
Eastern Mountain Sports. - Peterborough, NH
Graphic Designer
June 2008 - August 2008
At EMS, I illustrated small pieces for in-store signage, designed a
wrap for the EMS trailer, updated SKU's for product signage, and
created window signs for use in new stores. I also designed animated
web banners and buttons for holiday promotions. Some of my last
assignments included creating handouts for store events and working on
the Fall '08/Winter '09 catalog.
NH Elevator Inc. - Manchester, NH
Administrative Assistant/Designer
October 2003 - Present
I've worked for NH Elevator, Inc. since my parents founded it. When I
worked
for them on a regular basis, I performed administrative tasks, shipped
and
ordered parts, and assigned jobs to our mechanics and helpers. I am
currently
working with my father to update the website and all other advertising
pieces.
Internships:
. Wed - Manchester, NH
Graphic Design Intern
February 2008 - May 2008
I created signage for local restaurants, designed T-shirts, and
updated collateral
pieces for clients. I also reworked mailer projects to better
understand
newsletter layout. I gained a good understanding of how design
agencies work
from this internship and have been able to apply my experience
there to my
recent jobs and freelance projects.
. Eastern Mountain Sports - Peterborough, NH
Graphic Design Intern
May 2006 - August 2006
I illustrated and created the layout for the Product
Information Guide, which
was to be used for training. I also illustrated key images that
were first used in
the Fall '06/Winter '07 catalog, and are still used in the
catalogs and as in-store
signage. This internship gave me my first corporate design
experience and
provided a solid example of how design sets the standard for
the whole feel of
corporate identity and a retail environment.
. Mariposa Museum - Peterborough, NH
Intern
January 2004 - June 2004
At this internship I acted as a museum guide, translated text on
Japanese items,
and assisted in the purchase of new display pieces.
