Statistical Machine Operator. My duties were to perform Data Entry
activities.
11-16-1970 I became a Permanent Statistical Machine Operator.
12-22-1973 to 1-27-1974 had taken a leave without pay for personal reasons.
6-23-1976 I became a Promotional EDP Entry Operator III, I was reallocated
to this position. My duties were to operate an IBM sorting machine,
collator and 029 keypunches (IBM 80 card punch) machine.
9-2-1982 to 8-10-1997 became a Promotional EDP Programmer I. My duties as
a programmer are to set up programs for data entry. I do formatting
(develop a screen for the data entry clerk to enter information) and code
in COBOL language. I solve moderately complex problems from rough notes;
prepare testing programs for accuracy and completeness and ability to test
programs to make sure errors are being flagged. Other duties were
supervising EDP entry operators: I performed this duty up till May of
1998. I supervised the Scan Room Operations. The Scanning Room is a mixed
media system. The system consists of an OCR (Optical Character
Recognition) scanner and Data Entry System. I prepared statistical
reports, assisted in operating the system and prepared documents for
workflow of the day. I also prepared magnetic tapes with information,
which was updated from the data entry system for the Main Frame Computer to
update current information. My other duties were to search for sources of
imbalance or discrepancies and prepared deposits associated with scanned
registrations. I also would operate an on-line ALARS terminal. Other
duties were to be responsible for updating registrations, operator and
police reports, RMV1's, change of address and return plates. Other duties
were to verify registrations from the OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
system to Data Entry system. This entailed verifying that the check digit
corresponded with the OCR system. Also keyed checks only from the Mail-In
Registration and Accident Records departments on the OCR system, which
entailed encoding on the checks.
8-11-1987 to 4-01-2002 Program Coordinator I. My duties are to Manage Mail-
In Registration, Data Scan and Accident Records department. I manage 40
employees. The Scanning room is a mixed media system. The system consists
of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) scanner and Data Entry System. I
prepared statistical reports, assisted in operating the system and prepared
documents for workflow of the day. Updates from the Data Entry system for
the Main Frame Computer to update current information. Other duties are to
be responsible for updating registration on a PC on-line program. Perform
employee evaluations.
4-01-2002 to present Program Coordinator I. My duties are to Manage Mail-
