. More than 7 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator

having hands on experience in database administration, production

support, installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, performance

tuning, backup and recovery, space management, database security,

cloning, migration, shell scripting and documentation.

. 24*7 production database support with Support to developers & end-

users

. Installation, configuration of and performance tuning of Oracle 11g

RAC, 10g RAC, 9i, 8i with UNIX, LINUX and Windows environments.

. Excellent experience in Installation, setup and configuration of

Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g in HP-UX, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Windows and

UNIX/Linux environment.

. Experience in Data Migrations using oracle export/import, Datapump,

SQL Loader.

. Extensive knowledge on database administration for various RDMS

versions of Oracle like 8i, 9i, 10g & 11g upgrades and adding new

nodes RAC.

. Extensive Data modeling experience using Dimensional Data modeling,

Star Schema modeling, Snowflake modeling, and FACT and Dimensions

tables.

. Expertise in upgrading the databases from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g and

Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g.

. Experienced in working with ORACLE STREAMS and Golden Gate

. Worked on Oracle's Disaster Recovery Technologies like Standby, Data

Guard.

. Managed Very Large Database (VLDB) of multiple TB.

. Having hands on experience in Hot/Cold Backup, Recovery and Cloning of

databases

. Implemented RMAN backup (Full, incremental and cumulative) and

recovery, Incomplete recovery, block recovery and disaster recovery

using Standby database

. Implemented automated backup strategy using the UNIX shell script CRON

UTILITY.

. Utilized Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Grid control to monitor,

manage users, privileges, profiles, and schemas.

. Performance tuning of the database - SQL Tuning, Used Tuning utilities

like STATSPACK, TKPROF, EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, ADDM and Tuning of SGA.

. Effective troubleshooting of database and Performance problems.

. Expertise in maintaining Database Security using security compliance

auditing, and expertise in loading data from flat files using external

tables, SQL*LOADER.

. Good experience of creating PL/SQL packages, Stored Procedures,

Functions, Triggers.
