Direct Support Intelligence Analyst
Direct Support Intelligence Analyst for the Regional Security Office (RSO).
Daily responsibilities include writing intelligence reports and
assessments, monitoring and analyzing threat intelligence, briefing
leadership and various client groups, and producing time sensitive
products. Produce daily compilations of enemy attacks reported by Multi-
National Corps - Iraq and package these reports into products that are
distributed to multiple customers throughout Iraq and the United States.
Member of a team that produces daily the RSO Intelligence Summary (INTSUM).
This report is built from current intelligence and SIGACTS (Significant
Activity) with a focus on projected trends and expectant actions of
insurgency, terrorism and criminal activity throughout the Baghdad AOR.
Daily intelligence products we produce assist DoS personnel and Personal
Security Details in their daily route mission planning for the Ambassador
and other high ranking Embassy personnel.

Primary collector of human terrain data from local population and Coalition
Force elements. Develops Human Terrain collection plans. Conducts open
source research, analyzes cultural data, interviews, debriefs, accompanies
units on patrols, attends unit and local meetings, and engages with
individuals of local influence. Identifies specified and implied cultural
data requirements and any other means necessary to collect the information
required to satisfy the specific tasking. Assesses information for
relevance; conducts analysis to extract themes and draw conclusions; and
compiles it in a form that is sensible and usable to client. Active
participation in conducting research, collecting and analyzing data, and
drafting reports in support of unit Requests For Information (RFIs), the
tasking of the units, and self-initiated projects. This information is used
to aid and restore human security and economic development in populated

intelligence at the operational level. Performs a variety of tasks to

targets intelligence and process current and historical data for analysis.
Generates intelligence based assessments for use by planners during the
mission planning cycle. Provide daily briefs and weekly reports to State
Dept, US Embassy and DynCorp management. Principal liaison officer with US
Embassy officials regarding intelligence analysis on various targets in
Uganda and Somalia. Advisor to the Ground Force Commander of the African
Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), regarding security and intelligence
matters in Somalia.

Provide instrumental leadership in the development and implementation of
security policies and procedures in support of ongoing security operations
in this unstable security environment. Supervised eight American security
specialists responsible for security of 98 DynCorp program personnel,
covering 1 business, 3 residential compounds and 2 military training sites
with a Local National guard force of 120 Liberians. Supervised 16 Armed
Security personnel responsible for convoy operations, armory and ammunition
storage point security. Developed and implemented policies for Infosec and
Opsec Security Standing Operating Procedures. Supervise the development and
implementation of the Evacuation plan for DynCorp personnel in Liberia.
Provide recommendations, guidance, and risk mitigation measures and
acceptance for new facilities and those to be renovated. Analyze complex
physical security issues and provide cost-effective recommendations that
meet DynCorp and State Department policy requirements. Acted as the primary
liaison officer with UNMIL (United Nations Mission In Liberia) and the US
Embassy Regional Security Officer Monrovia, Liberia for all
emergency/crisis situations. Primary staff responsibility for the annual
security budget including analysis of expenses, staffing and cost
reduction.
