WESTAT, INC, Durham, NC 2002 - 2010

Program Analyst

. Co-Designed DART- Data Request Access Tool, which was a pilot internal

application specifically developed to assist the Data Coordinator and

improved efficiencies between 75-80%. This product managed all data and

data requests made by NIEHS for the Sister Breast Cancer Study by NIEHS.

Provided prototype for web based application in VB.NET and SQL Server

2005, utilizing the RAD product Iron Speed Designer.

. Designed, developed and provided support for SEAD - The Study of Estrogen

Activity and Development study by NIEHS the SEAD project focused on

infant-based study to determine evidence and response of soy estrogen

exposure. This ASP/ SQL database web application project tracked three

recruitment sites and collected all data required by the study protocols

including screening outcomes, specimens and measurements, and generated

multiple reports on enrollment completion. Used extracted data from BSI-

II (Biological Specimen Inventory System to report database

discrepancies.

. Designed and developed KOMET lab software (for NIEHS: Molecular and

Genetic Epidemiology Group that managed protocol database and data

assimilation from various formats. This Microsoft Access database

application defined report formatting and prepared generated data to be

used by another external application.

. Co-designed, developed or maintained other NIEHS database applications

for studies including: Sister Breast Cancer Study, Uterine Fibroid Study,

Norway Cleft Study, Agricultural Health Study, Genetic Susceptibility and

the Environment in Cancer, Carolina Lupus Study.

DIALOG, Cary, NC 2000 - 2001

Programmer

. Completed timely data processing tasks associated with monthly processing

cycles. Created, maintained and extracted data to automate report

generation utilizing Excel macros.

. Developed and redesigned several reporting applications, maintained data

in several Remedy applications, provided documentation and support for

various systems.

. Designed, developed and implemented The Attachrate/Demand Planning

Analysis Database, which was utilized worldwide and provided forecasting

in price/cost/systems volume changes.

. Designed, developed and implemented The Report Generator, which was a

Microsoft Access application automating a five-day process to completion

in under two hour, improving efficiency over 90%.

. Designed, developed and implemented PROMPT (an

inventory/planning/reporting database), which was a Microsoft Access

application automating inventory system analysis.
