Major accomplishments

approximately 85 %, achieving a new

advertiser bonus 2 of the last 3

years and winning publishers

than 80 % renewal rate 3 of

In this capacity as the Northeast

representative for Nursing, I

included increasing 1991

market share four points to achieve

a # 1 territory ranking for

the first time in territory

history. Additionally, I achieved # 1

territory ranking in recruitment

advertising for the first time in

territory history.

1989 - 1990 District Manager - Intertec Publishing

In this capacity as the East Coast

representative for Computer

Graphics Review, I was responsible

for all phases of advertising

sales with the graphics community.

Major accomplishments

include winning the March 1990

NCGA sales contest and

producing five consecutive double

digit ad page months, a

magazine record.

1987 - 1989 District Manager - Penton Publishing

In this capacity as the New York

/ Mid-Atlantic representative

for Lodging Hospitality, I was

responsible for territory

management and growth in the

hospitality service sector.

Additionally, I acted as

territory representative at numerous

trade shows, presented major

executive briefings through the

use of active buyers' studies,

reader calls,distributor contacts

and other artful selling

techniques. Major accomplishments

included selling 57 pages in the

October 1988 show issue, a

magazine record.

1984 - 1987 District Sales Manager - Gordon

In this capacity as the New

England representative for

Software Retailing, I was

responsible for all phases of trade

advertising sales. Upon

promotion in January, 1985 to South-

east District Sales Manager for

Chemical Equipment,

Industrial Product Bulletin and

Metalworking Digest, I earned

responsibilities for

administering existing industrial accounts

and securing new industrial

accounts. Major accomplishments

included growing Industrial

Products Bulletin's territory 340%

in two years, setting a company

record for Southeast ad pages

in one issue [Chemical Equipment

14.1 pages in May,1987]

and increasing territory

billings from $ 540,000 in 1984 to

$ 775,000 in 1987. Furthermore,

I was consistently either # 1

or # 2 on each magazine on our

internal share of market.
