2008 – 2010 Senior Consultant
Turner & Townsend Houston, Texas
Duties were for all project costs including cost reports, change orders, back charges, and weekly status
reports. Invoice approval based on review of actual progress in regards to quantities installed. Weekly cost
trend report focusing on cost impacts to the forecast. Reviewing of change orders from construction contractor
for authenticity and accuracy. Produced weekly trend report and contractor/vendor change order logs.
Monthly involvement in cash flow and Capex reconciliation. All reporting done on a joint venture basis using
EXCEL format. Accounting data downloaded from SAP and Oracle databases. The projects were $816 and
$416 million BP wind farms. They consisted of 222 and 133 wind turbines with a combined 550 MW
capacity. Both projects were executed and controlled with significant under runs.
April 2000 – May 2008 Owner/Manager Retail Store
Country Clutter Orlando, Florida
Opened a high volume retail store, operating it in such a way to create annual sales of $1 million. Developed
an open to buy plan, annual cash flow, set sales goals and developed plans to meet them, successfully
increased profit margins every year, as well as hiring and managing a sales staff.
June 1988 – March 2000 Principal Cost Engineer
M.W. Kellogg Houston, Texas
Duties included the development and monitoring of cost reports. Establishing and updating control budgets
based on approved changes and re-evaluating current forecasts. Financial and cost reports were developed
using Artemis and Excel. The projects mainly consisted of petro-chemical and LNG facilities.
Lead Cost Engineer on a multi-million dollar refinery expansion in Venezuela. Reporting completed on a
client and Kellogg basis using an in house accounting system. Developed change order procedure which was
incorporated into the project control plan. Estimated change orders for the entire EPC project. Monitored the
schedule for change order impacts. Produced quarterly financial profit/loss reports to KBR upper
management.

Worked in Japan on a JV LNG facility. Project was a $1.6 billion grass roots facility constructed in
Malaysia. Responsible for monthly cash flow and cash management of the different currencies involved
in project. Executed a method of buying these currencies in advance, resulting in savings in the millions
of dollars.
Lead Cost Engineer for $500 million expansion for ConocoPhillips, supervising 3 people. Established a
procedure for budget input on all requisitions issued from procurement. Originated a commitment report
from procurement for a monthly cost report.
Lead Cost Engineer for $400 million petro-chemical project for Texaco in Singapore. Implemented
change control system for both onshore and offshore portions of project. Developed a monthly cost report
for the EPC contract.
Lead Cost Engineer for $800 million refinery project for Exxon Mobil. Coordinated the input of
commitments, expenditures, and change orders into a monthly cost report. Produced monthly
performance reports for both engineering and construction based on earned value. Evaluated the schedule
for possible delays due to material deliveries and contract changes.
