Experience directly related to the position includes management of safety
and health programs at the Omaha World-Herald newspaper and administration
of Workers' Compensation. Managed EHS efforts at the Omaha World-Herald
newspaper. Involved development of programs, training, and administration,
direct interaction with employees and management, and producing tangible
results. Work-related injuries and illnesses were reduced consistently
through careful planning; focus on problem areas, and proactive attention.
These efforts resulted in a reduction of Workers Compensation costs and a
workforce that was able to remain working - generally free of the effects
associated with being injured.
