Principal Consultant Electronic Components & Circuit Manufacturing
My services include the documentation of existing and new procedures and
maintaining traceability documentation for all materials and processes used
to form finished electronic components and circuits. While doing this I
perform as a team member where the team includes engineering and
manufacturing personnel to resolve problems using statistical engineering
techniques such as "Root Cause Analysis" & "Shanin" and implement new
materials, processes and product improvements.
I also provide "hands-on" business/technical management consulting services
to manufacturers of electronic components and circuits. These services
include the creation of effective business plans, budgets, process
development plans and product development plans. I also provide analysis
for expansion and capacity planning with emphasis on (1) capital equipment
intensity, (2) payback and (3) ROI.
Micro-economic modeling of manufacturing operations is another of the
services that I provide. The modeling looks at (1) Scale of Plant, (2)
Automate v. Don't Automate decisions, (3) identification of cost reduction
opportunities, (4) Lean Manufacturing opportunities, (5) CpK Analysis and
(6) the achievement of 6-Sigma process capability.
My services also provide PFMEA/DFMEA write-ups; the writing of SBIR
proposals; assisting in International Business transactions and
Intellectual property identification and protection.

(2) their manufacture, and (3) their processing creating recipes and
appropriate ISO procedures
for RF tunable capacitors designed for high frequency (2 GHz and higher)
broadband applications and voltage driven sensors. My job duties also
included (1) the definition, selection and justification of capital
equipment required, (2) the writing technical reports, white papers,
PFMEA's, DFMEA's and proposals and (3) the preparation of SBIR proposals

In addition I (1) created effective business plans, budgets, and process
development plans, (2) interfaced with and coordinated with materials
suppliers to obtain material property test data, and (3) characterized
materials through performance and attribute testing.
1991-2001 Delphi Electronics & Safety (Hybrid Circuits) Kokomo, IN
Senior Project Engineer (Reports per project requirements)
As Senior Project Engineer I provided R&D for hybrid circuit materials from
the laboratory stage to conducting process and manufacturing engineering
activities for their pilot line programs and start of production. My
project responsibilities also included the definition, selection and
justification of the capital equipment required using as criteria (1)
design for manufacturability, (2) Lean /Agile Manufacturing.
Other duties and responsibilities included (1) writing and organizing
materials specifications formatted for ISO qualification, (2) interfacing
and coordinating with materials suppliers to (3) obtain material property
test data through material characterizations and perform performance and
attribute testing.
Still other duties and responsibilities included (1) the preparation of
PFMEA's, DFMEA's and (2) the resolution of PPAP issues, (3) the review of
legislative and regulatory proposals and actions to determine impact on
projects, (4) the leading of continuous improvement efforts, and (5)
participation in Manufacturing Technology Teams and other teams as needed,
