with the physical receiving of these books and distribution to the shelves for purchase.
Managing the student buyback and returns to wholesalers and publishers when returns
were due. Responsible for the entire text department with over 2600 titles to manage.

I worked summers selling books to other college stores over the phone. Moved to
Georgia in 1979 to buy books from professors.After one year we moved to Tampa,
Florida. I continued to buy books from professors and ship to Michigan College Book
Company. This involed travel from Florida to Michigan buying books from professors in
all states in between and nearby as you had to go where you could find books.When book
rush time came at Eastern University I would fly or drive up and help in the store with
book orders from publishers and wholesalers.I would help with retail sales in the store on
these visits.
