Senior Project Manager
Responsible for the management and operation of a technical consulting firm
whose clients included manufacturing firms, public utilities,
telecommunications companies as well as several
European clients. Provide project team leadership to develop IT strategies,
implement new strategies, transform clients' operation from file server
to WEB based.
Projects included:
. Managed the data integration and remediation project for a
manufacturing company which had acquired one of its competitors.
. Conducted an evaluation of the IT operations of a bank with a view to
upgrading the infrastructure as well as improving customer service.
Effort included defining requirements, evaluating both hardware and
software to determine required upgrades and changes, development of
implementation plan, obtaining management approval and implementing
the plan.

Projects included:
. Overhaul of IT operations for a midsize manufacturing company to
provide order processing and tracking, inventory control, customer
history information and automatic billing. For same company worked
with the sales department to automate their operation. This included
order input, status tracking, delivery forecasts, shipping
information and other pertinent information that the sales force
required. System allowed the sales people to track their status
against quota, their commissions as well as their expenses. All
inputs done via a secured network.
. For an insurance company, managed an IT project to improve claim
processing and client access. Established requirements, managed
development of software, selected hardware vendors, negotiated
contracts and service level agreements. Software developed allowed
both patients and medical professionals to file claims, access
payment status, and for professionals to input medical data including
drugs prescribed. In house claims processors can view a client's
entire history, thus improving communications. Overall productivity
was improved by 25% resulting in significant cost savings.
. For European client, managed the introduction of WEB based services.
Developed requirements, strategy, overall project plan and budget.
Responsible for the selection of software and hardware. Negotiated
contracts, oversaw installation, managed test program and software
qualification prior to implementation. Managed the development of
the user training program and the implementation affecting more than
four thousand users. Managed project managers assigned to various
phases of the program.
DIS Research 1999 - 2003
Practice Manager
Responsible for a team of consultants providing IT services to clients in
the greater New York City area. Extended the practice to cover upstate New
York and New England.
Accomplishments included:
. Managing the development and implementation of a new IT strategy for
a division of the New York State Department of Health. Improved
overall performance, reduced turn around time, replaced outmoded
software and hardware resulting in cost savings to the division.

. Developed business plan for a startup IT Services Company affiliated
with DIS.
. For an electronics manufacturer, managed the review and revision of
the current IT operation with a view to improving overall efficiency.

faster turn around time and better internal as well as external
communications. Resulted in faster order processing, improved
delivery and higher customer satisfaction. This involved management

Responsible for the development of a multi-facet, multi-disciplined
consulting practice. Managed projects for information technology,
pharmaceuticals, insurance, finance, public utilities and manufacturing
clients.
Accomplishments included:
. Managing the outsourcing of the data processing operation for a
pharmaceutical company. Developed project plan, staffed project with
TBI and internal personnel. Created RFP to be submitted to potential
vendors. Selected vendors, Evaluated responses and chose vendor in
conjunction with corporate management. Negotiated contract with
selected vendor including service level agreements. Managed
transition to vendor. Conducted vendor performance reviews six months
after transition and yearly thereafter.
. Managed the evaluation of the IT operation of a public utility whose
management desired to consider the possibility of outsourcing.
Established evaluation criteria, sampled potential vendors, created
RFP, evaluated responses. A cost comparison between the vendor quotes
and the cost of maintaining the internal operation with some
performance improvement resulted in a decision not to outsource.
. Managed project to implement electronic claim submission and
processing for two affiliates of Blue Cross/ Blue Shield. Project was
designed for both doctors and patients. Each party could track status
of a claim without the aid of claim handler. Turn around time was
decreased by twenty five percent. Overall client satisfaction was
increased. Software developed allowed agent to view entire client
history further improving efficiency by more than thirty percent
resulting in significant cost savings to the companies.

Founded and managed an international technology and marketing consultancy.
Conducted product and market research for clients desiring to penetrate the
U.S., European and Asian markets. Defined the requirements, identified the
