RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Planit Green Consulting, Denver, CO (January 2010 – Current)
Independent Sustainability Consultant
Starting this company at the beginning of the year has allowed me to continue my environmental education efforts,
and working with the US Green Building Council for trainings, consultations, and education. I look forward to growing
this business into LEED Project Management, Sustainable Business Consulting services, and LEED Education and
test prep training courses. My previous clients include: ARC Integrated Project Management, Flatirons Habitat For
Humanity, US Green Building Council Colorado Chapter, Weifield Contracting Group, Brinkman Partners, and in
contract with Siemens.
Planit Green Promotions, (Capstone Promotions and TIC Company Store)
Denver, CO (August 2009 - Current)
Eco Marketing Manger
As Eco Marketing Manager with Planit Green Promotions, I gained many new skills such as marketing techniques,
eco event planning, and graphic design. Taking the initiative to build a brand new website, I developed its content, and
grew an aptitude for the art of social media. As an independent consultant, I learned the lesson of what it takes to run
your own business, hard work and productivity, while keeping my passion for being green. I had the opportunity to
purchase carbon offsets making PGP a carbon neutral company, developed a code of conduct for our suppliers to
abide by, and developed our corporate sustainability practices. Additionally I managed the TIC Holdings, online
company store with administration of daily orders, customer service, and merchandising.
PCL Construction Enterprises (Corporate Division), Denver, CO (January 2008 – August 2009)
Manager of Sustainable Construction
I managed the firms green building and sustainability efforts. Through developing a U.S.-wide green building
education program, 300 people achieved their LEED Accreditation through my efforts. Through my sustainability
planning I began PCL’s corporate suitability efforts by setting up the sustainability plan, developing green teams
across the U.S., and organizing the start of their carbon footprinting initiatives. Beyond the corporate sustainability
efforts, I had the chance to participate in high-level project interviews, LEED project charettes, and LEED project
documentation. Lastly, a large project I worked on was a LEED Project Toolbox, a “how to LEED” for the field project
management. I learned the skills of leadership through education, public speaking, and the value of corporate
responsibility on all levels.
Swinerton Builders, Inc., Denver, CO (September 2006 – January 2008)
Project Engineer
Sarah Patrice Kell * 303-***-**** * **********@*****.***
My responsibilities included project management and engineering duties on a variety of projects, from a small
independent theater to managing the interiors of a 6-story high-end condominium building. Working with another
green champion, I conducted multiple LEED training sessions for the Denver division and created a memo for the
corporate paperless initiative.
Webcor Builders, San Francisco, CA (May 2005 – September 2006)
Project Engineer
Responsible for managing small projects in the Interiors Construction Group, which included managing multiple
projects at one time including all aspects from document control, cost reporting, and field and subcontractor
management. Achieving the status of a LEED Accredited Professional in 2005 and was the founding Co-Chair of their
sustainability committee, I aided in the training programs to accredit over 77 people in three months. Additionally, I
was instrumental in starting a very successful green program within the company.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Monroe Pointe This 6-story condo project is one of the renowned residences in Denver. As an integral part of
Residences, Cherry this team, I was responsible for managing the interiors of this project. Hired right as rough
Creek, CO framing was starting on the 1st floor, I coordinated each Owners needs and wants along with
the sales center managed all changes and updated to the field as appropriate. I was
responsible for the day-to-day changes along with document control, managing the
subcontractors, RFI’s, submittals, and correspondence with the architect. Through careful
documentation and organization, I was able to please not only the Owners of the units, but the
construction team as well.
845 Montgomery 845 Montgomery is a seismic renovation of a historic 1920’s building. This conversion project
Residences, San
includes 12 upscale condominium units with 1,200 square feet of retail area. Due to many
Francisco, CA
unknowns during demolition and installation of a new steel skeleton, while maintaining the
brick façade, created a challenging project to keep on budget and on time. I aided the
Superintendent with layout in the field, Labor Distribution Reports, RFI’s, and submittal
documentation. Not having an on-site office made coordination difficult, but the process was
successful due to my abilities for organization and management between the office and the
field. Additionally, I worked in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager with buyout,
contracts, billings, potential change orders, and subcontractor change orders, and cost
reporting.
Infinity Tower The Infinity Tower is a mixed-use residential project including four towers (8, 9, 36, and 41-
Mock-up and Sales
stories). Provided the opportunity to manage this small project, I worked on the Sales Center
Center,
with the supervision of a Senior Project Manager. The Sales Center and Mock-up unit earned
San Francisco, CA
over 17% profit for the company. Managing buyout closely and working hand-in-hand with the
Superintendent on-site, enabled this project to be completed within budget. The well
managed Mock-up of the condominium unit aided the core and shell building team to
anticipate constructability issues allowing resolution on a smaller scale issues prior to
construction of the residential units in the towers.
