Facilities Manager

Supervision of the day-to-day facilities operations for the corporate headquarters consisting of

approximately 432,000 square feet of space and roughly 1200 employees. Oversight of all

mechanical equipment (critical systems incld.) and corresponding service contracts. Directly

responsible for a 6 person Help Desk team. Initiated a plan to cut energy costs by $100k with a

less than 2 year payback period.

Assistant Facilities Manager

Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, responsible for utilizing AutoCAD LT for space

planning, developing stacking charts, occupancy and vacancy counts and work order trends and

assisting with implementing capital leasehold projects. Eliminated redundancies and

unnecessary expenses in building maintenance budget leading to a 13% savings in a budget of

$500k.

8/05 to 07/06 Ajilon Professional Staffing Saddle Brook, NJ

Facilities Coordinator

Project management for the construction of new offices for a global staffing firm: From review of

construction documents and pricing to construction oversight and move-in assistance. Traveled

to site during final week of build-out to generate construction punch list, oversee furniture

installation, move/install network (router, switches, server, printers), test and verify T1 service for

both phone and data connectivity. Thirteen new offices completed, not including various

expansions and an HQ restack.

9/00 to 7/02 Environmental Defense New York, NY

Administrative Manager

While providing national contract, office management support and guidance to 8 facilities

nationwide, Managed the construction of a new 16,000+ square foot office, which received a

LEED Silver certificate for commercial interiors while remaining on time and on budget.

Supervised and supported national office managers as well as local mailroom and reception staff.

With the Director of Finance and local Office Managers developed budgets for all regional offices

and maintained close contact with both to monitor adherence to those budgets.

1/95 to 4/00 Siemens Corporation New York, NY

Manager, Facilities Administration

Responsible for space planning and all construction projects. Provided full operational services to

three regional offices. Supervised staff of 12 including: receptionist, security, executive protection,

food service, mailroom and maintenance. Developed and managed capital expenditure budgets

for office equipment and furniture. Maintained both HVAC and pre-action fire suppression

systems. As manager of procurement responsible for enhancing supplier relationships, service

contract negotiations and leveraging larger volume discounts. Set procedures and negotiate

contracts for; security, office equipment, landscaping and all other facilities services.

Directly responsible for creating, enhancing contracts and supplier relationships. Guided furniture

specifications to maintain ergonomic and corporate standards. As liaison to Corporate

Supported Facilities Manager during several re-stacks and development of security system.
