Manager of Material Management Facilities Operations for the three (3)
campuses of UCHSC. Oversee and manage the following:
. Mail Center Operations for all incoming/outgoing US mail and
intercampus mail for both UCHSC and UCH (University of Colorado
Hospital).
. Materials management operation (for both the Health Science Center &
Hospital) encompassing all supply deliveries, pick-ups, shipments,
warehousing various stocks and transportation.
. Record Retention Center for the storage, retrieval and destruction of
records per both state guidelines and university policy.

Transportation & Support Services which included 600+ school buses & other
vehicles.

Consulting and project management assignments for various employers (i.e.
PMX Industries, Klein Tools, Shamrock Foods, Supervalu Assignments
varied from complex projects to day to day operations and a brief
description of accomplishments are as follows:
. Completed groundwork for "warehouse boss" project which resulted in
increased warehouse productivity.
. Developed traffic department for new multinational employer
including all transportation contracts, routing guides, single
service proposals

. Functioned as temporary Distribution Manager and also as a temporary

SOLVAY ANIMAL HEALTH, Charles City, Ia. 1989-1991
Manager of domestic and international Logistics Division. Spearheaded the
restructure of customer services and distribution for a $100 million dollar
division of a multinational Belgium based manufacturer of biologics,
pharmaceutics, chemical and animal feed which acquired several other animal
health companies.
. Successfully set up, developed and managed new multiple DC network
for all of the company's newly acquired product lines.
. New distribution network produced an annual savings of $2.2 million
while improving customer services.
. Managed five regional distribution centers, two based replenishment
centers, private fleet, carrier contract negotiations and strategic
planning.
. Led adaptation of several world class distribution strategies for ISO
9000.
THE HON COMPANY, Muscatine, Ia. 1984 - 1989
Distribution Manager. Managed the high volume distribution operation for
four separate manufacturing plants. Over saw and managed the customer
service, scheduling, warehousing, traffic, private fleet and inventory
control departments. Supervised nine direct reports and more than 130
employees.
. Reduced transportation costs from 7.0% to 4.8% of sales (Sales $350
mil.).
. High volume warehouse encompassing 30,000+ SKU's.
