Qualifications:
In the past twenty eight years I have worked in the criminal justice field, in several
Areas. I spent 24 and a half years with Philadelphia Police Department in the ranks
of Patrol Officer, Detective and Sergeant. I then joined the University of
Pennsylvania Police Department and served in the ranks of Patrol Officer and
Sergeant for three plus years. I then spent a short time at Methodist Hospital as a
guard, and lastly, I am a Shift manager at St. Joseph’s University.
Education:
I am presently enrolled in the Master’s of Science Homeland Security program at St.
Joseph’s University.

Employment:
1982-2006 Philadelphia Police Department (Patrol Officer / Detective / Sergeant)
1982-1990 Patrol Officer, 26th and 35th Districts and Highway Patrol
In these positions, I patrolled the east, west, north, northwest, and south
Sections of Philadelphia for crime and criminal activity. I also rode on
motorcycle patrol, and expressway patrol for egregious traffic violators and
auto accidents on Interstate 95 and the Schuykill Expressway, while in the
Highway Patrol Unit.
1990-2000 Detective, Northeast and North Detective Divisions, Alcohol, Tobacco and
Firearms. Northeast Detective Warrant Team Leader, Northeast Detective
Fraud Investigation Unit. In these positions I did various investigations,
interviewed complainants and interrogated suspects. I also processed crime
scenes through the use of photos, sketches and lifting latent fingerprints.
While in Northeast Detective Division, I also spent six years in the Special
Investigations Unit, investigating large scale burglary and robbery patterns.
I also served as team leader for the warrant enforcement unit for two years,
where I prepared several search and arrest warrants. I then spent two years
in the fraud enforcement unit, investigating white collar crimes, such as,
identity theft. Lastly, I spent one year with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms
In the large scale narcotics surveillance unit, where we utilized video and
audio surveillance, GPS systems and pole cameras.

2000-2006 Sergeant (25th 2nd and 4th Districts, narcotics strike Force and the
Philadelphia Police Training bureau)
While in these positions, I supervised about 28 officers in the
East, south and northeast areas of Philadelphia, in several
different squads. I also spent one year teaching at the
Philadelphia Police Academy, in the areas of legal
issues, laws of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, the rules of the
Philadelphia Police Department, and Driver training. Lastly,
I spent one year in the Narcotics Strike Force, supervising a
Squad of officers making street level narcotics arrests.
April to August 2006 Parking Enforcement Manager of West Chester Borough
In this position, I was tasked with attending to every aspect of
parking enforcement in the Borough of West Chester, including,
preparing daily assignments for the enforcement officers, meeting
with borough Council and the mayor of west Chester. I also
met with the Chief of Police and the Chief of West Chester
University. Lastly, I fielded complaints by investigation and
talking to complaining parties.
2008-2009 Methodist Hospital ( Public Safety Officer)
Performed both stationary and roving patrol in and about the
for criminal activity and plant issues, such as, open doors, broken
sidewalks, etc. I also wrote reports on all incidents and reported
Them to the Director of Public Safety.
2009-Present Saint Joseph’s University (Supervisor / Shift Manager)
As a supervisor I prepared assignment sheets, spoke to members of the
campus community about criminal and civil issues, and supervised about
ten officers in their everyday activities. As a Shift manger, in addition to
the duties of a supervisor, I overlook the entire 3 x 11 shift and their daily
issues on and around the campus.
