WORK EXPERIENCE

Receiving, Acceptance & Distribution Management: Develop and administer integrated logistics strategies, including supply

chain activities from point of manufacture through information management support, deployment freight, warehousing,

customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement. Ensure that

customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to maximize sales, market share

and profit for company and customer. Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as

the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related

functions. Reduction and management of WIP inventory utilizing MRP. Build relationships with strategic customers through

logistics initiatives. Integrate learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer

service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position. 5S Gold

Operations Management: Management of a 280,000 square foot distribution center, development and management of an annual

operating budget of approximately $5 Million, annual sales of $1.2 Billion, an average running inventory of $90 Million, 120

employees, inclusive of hiring, termination, reviews, awards, disciplinary actions, and work hour scheduling, a fully

computerized distribution/warehousing system (MOVE), and a comprehensive security system, team and equipment. Managed

the implementation of MOVE, warehouse management system, in four distribution centers. Implemented a third party logistics

program. Managed SAP full implementation go-live in a master distribution center. Negotiations, award, management and

administration of all ground and air freight carriers. Developed and implemented an international customs clearing procedures

program. Directed all distribution activities in accordance with company goals including budget, lines per hour,

shipping/receiving accuracy, inventory accuracy, billing accuracy, and on-time deliveries, with specific emphasis on 100%

customer service and satisfaction. Utilizing the MOVE management system, participated in the development of productivity

levels for all distribution activities. Negotiated and awarded national purchase contracts servicing seven distribution centers

nationwide. Attained the goal of achieving recognition as the company’s leading distribution center in the United States and

Canada. Participated in the resolution of distribution and productivity concerns at various company distribution sites, including

relocation to four distribution centers for the purpose of facilitating distribution and productivity management excellence.

Inventory, Security & Purchasing Management: Negotiations, award, management and administration of all freight carriers.

Negotiated and awarded purchase contracts servicing four distribution centers. Authorized and managed all inventory

purchases, with emphasis on sales turns, inventory levels, and sales forecast. This was accomplished by developing and

implementing inventory turns reports, sales forecast reports, identifying slow-moving inventory, implementing just-in-time

inventory procedures, and managing third party logistics programs. Participated in the resolution of warehousing, inventory,

distribution and productivity concerns at the company’s three satellite distribution sites, for the purpose of facilitating

warehousing, distribution, inventory, and productivity management excellence. Developed and implemented various

distribution and inventory reports. Managed all DOT and HASMAT regulations concerning bulk oil and fuel, delivery and

storage. Implemented a HASMAT training program throughout four distribution centers. Developed and implemented internal

and external security programs relating to secure and safe operations.
