Perform hazard assessment related to crane operation and all function around operator’s
responsibilities in accordance with the Company safety roles and principles.
Determine a formal lift plan is necessary and able to utilize proper rigging materials and principles.
Recognize the load's centre of gravity and the importance of load balance and its standard safe
working load (SWL).
Knowledge and experience about sheet metal working activities like Flame cutting, Plate bending and
materials expediting, Tool keeper, Time keeper and warehouseman.
Exposed and authorized to operate sheet metal machineries such as, Eye tracer cutting machine, Radial
machine, bending machine, oxyacetylene cutting machine.Authorized and operate gas cutting
machine, eye tracer, and oxy acetylene and radial machine.

HOT MILL COMPLEX DEPARTMENT(FRP/HSM)
Mill Crane (overhead crane, 60T- 110T Cap.) Jan. 2012 to present.
Assists in Roughing Mill and Finishing Mill work rolls and back-up rolls changes.
Receives Roughing Mill / Finishing Mill work rolls and back up rolls and shift dead rolls to roll shop.
Assist Mechanical Maintenance in lifting works during breakdowns, down days and shutdowns.
Assists in cobble removal from the mill, delay and run-out tables.
Loads cut down to size and transfer bar to flatbed trucks.
Operates roll lifting tackles, C-hook, magnet, coil tong and other lifting slings.
Replaces crop shear pit crop bucket.
Lifts coil box cobble from the coil box.
Lifts telescopic coils from Down Coiler where handling is not possible with the coil tong.
Empty the scale bucket from the furnace.
Sounds the siren every time the crane travels with load to caution crews working on the mill floor.
Lifts and places the descaling test plate on the delay table during descaler pattern test.
Inspect the crane in accordance with the Crane Section’s Crane Pre-operation Checklist.
Perform any additional task given by HSM Shift Leader or Foreman.
Yard Cranes (overhead crane, 10T- 35T Cap.) June 2003 – Jan. 2012
Lifts coil from down coiler walking beam coil saddles.
Transfer coils from the walking beam saddles to coil yard saddles as per L III transport task created by DC
foreman.
Lists down coil ID and location manually whenever L III system is down and submits to DC foreman for
updating.
Places coil on inspection line and sampling station.
Loads coils on flat bed trucks as per Logistics and Dispatch requirement.
Disposes scrap car and bucket. Loads sample bucket to pick-ups whenever required.
Assists in lifting activities by maintenance in DC and mill areas such as changing of pinch rolls, side
guides and etc.
Assists in the removal of cobbles.
Ensures proper turn-over and take-over of crane and inspects the crane in accordance with the crane
section’s Pre-operation Checklist.

Operate eye tracer cutting machine and cut out sheet of metal plates into a piece of works, such as collar
plate’s brackets, use for fabrication, erection assembly, and ship repair.
