A Little Bit About Me

I am a jack (or more apt, a jill) of many trades and a specialist in some. Marketing,

retail promotions, TV graphics, Producer, Digital Designer, Flash Designer are just to

name a few. My passion lies in the digital, new media and motion graphics platform

and in producing and creating sustainable design solutions.

Naturally, I am adaptive and constantly drawn to and thrive on all things creative. I

am always hungry to learn and quick at doing it. I am constantly on the hunt for a

new challenge to tackle. I aspire to develop and grow into a lead designer.

My everyday personal interests lie in art, design, architecture, fashion, travel,

beaches, adventure, scrabble, painting, reading, photography, patternmaking and

sewing, screen printing, chess, coffee, discover new places are just a few.

Education

Tucked into my back pocket is a:

Bachelor of Design (Visual Communications) from the University of Technology,

Sydney. Sub-Major in Photography and graduated in 2004 with Honours.

Certificate in Website design from the ACP and a wealth of experience in financial

sectors, government organisations and digital agency.

The great thing is that I will never stop learning and am always keen to learn from

the greatest minds, anywhere, all the time.

Work Experience

February 2005 - Present

Freelance Graphic Designer

Clients: Gloria Jeans Coffees, Macquarie University, Australian National University, Luke

Priddis Foundation, Shelemah, Falkirk Daffodil Gardens, Japan Made, Brighton Consulting.

Delivering strong advertising and promotional material. Designing and producing html and css

for e-commerce sites. Strategically producing, defining and creating compelling brand

identities, websites, marketing and digital and print platforms.

May 2010 - September 2010

Digital Designer/ Flash Designer - Freshweb Pty Ltd.

Clients: Macquarie University Hospital, Optus, Skins

Wireframe, design and HTML/CSS styling of the Macquarie University Hospital website and

Skins Rugby minisite. Illustrate and animate a sequence in Flash CS4 for Optus. The purpose

is to train employees on the networks and services that Optus provides. Animations and visual

enhancement in game play for VMware flash game. Wireframe user experience for a number

of websites (Liz Ellis, VMware microsite/game/video/social media, Macquarie University

Hospital)

March 2009 - May 2010, September 2010 - October 2010

Digital/Print Designer, Brighton Consulting Pty Ltd.

Clients: Financial services sector and credit unions (IMB, Resources Credit Union,

MemberFirst Credit Union, Macquarie Credit Union, to name a few)

Produce strong holistic and viable online and offline digital, print and marketing solutions.

Developing brand identities and visual identities along with refreshing and rebranding websites

to a high standard of design, utilising current web functionality and technologies. In addition,

conceptual development, design solution and execution of marketing campaigns for various

financial services and institutions.

Associate Online Producer, ABC Shop

Clients: ABC Commercial, ABC Digital, iTunes, Bigpond, Vodafone, Paypal, Email Cash,

MySpace, YouTube.

Produce strong viable e-commerce, online and marketing endeavours. Produce high end

graphics and front-end development in support of the retail marketing and promotions

campaigns through print and digital platforms in a manner that communicates and persuades

online consuker purchasing. Producing the Doctor Who, Top Gear, Andre Rieu, In the Night

Garden brand stores on the ABC Shop Online, resulting in an increase in online sales.

June 2007 - June 2008

Marketing Coordinator/Mid-weight Designer, ABC Retail

Clients: ABC Commercial, ABC Retail, ABC Shop Online.

Design, oversee and coordinate the smooth and timely production and dispatch of retail

catalogues, brochures, promotional, POS and marketing support for ABC Shops nationally.

Maintain intranet site for ABC Retail. Visual merchandising within ABC Shops. Assisting with

implementation of National & Local Promotion campaigns. Designing graphics for online

promotions. Briefing third parties and proactively executing and maintaining the production

workflow to produce successful marketing campaigns according to marketing schedules.
