Oracle DBA
Supporting multiple Oracle10.2 databases on Solaris O/S. Using Veritas
Cluster Server for redundant hardware failover. Database is in steady
state running RMAN. Ran DBMS_META package to create missing schemas. Use
EXP/IMP for data export and import.
Installed Oracle 11.2 on AIX 6.1. Set up using ASM. Used expdp and impdp
to copy database from one machine to another. Created tablespaces, tables,
users, and roles to support the database. Multiplexed the control files
and redo files. Set up RMAN to do backups. Set up Scheduler including
chains. Supported installation of RAC. Use OEM for db support. Also use
statspack on some machines for performance monitoring. Set up Oracle
Streams for data replication.

Technical Project Manager
Project manager for the hrblock.com application on a JAVA/UNIX/Oracle
platform.
Responsibilities include release management using the Agile PM method,
resource scheduling for the development group, and level of estimates(LOE)
for due dates and costs. Use MS Project as the project tracking tool.
Also the interface between the technical members and the Business Units.
Coordinated the software and hardware changes and negotiated the production
implementation dates between the two groups.
Responsible for ftp downloads of the digital software executables to the
production website.

Oracle DBA
Installed Oracle 11 onto one MS server and one Red Hat server. Both
installations were for small businesses that support clients requiring
Oracle DB backends. Created databases using DBCA, used OEM for most DDL
work and monitoring, implemented RMAN/Data Guard for backups and recovery,
and installed ASM.

I converted the MySql and SQL Server 2005 databases to Oracle 11 for a
Disney conversion project. Created databases using DBCA, used OEM for most

PL/SQL and provided support for the developers.
.Red Hat SA on Dell, Gateway, and custom built servers. Supported MySql and
SQL Server 2005.
Used Samba and NFS for file sharing.

Responsible for 36 SUN production and development servers of various sizes.
Responsibilities included the mundane from id and password creation to
building new servers using Jumpstart Server. Security audits are done via
installation of Symantec ESM on all the servers. IT quality assessment is
done via ISO 9001. I supported the VERITAS Netbackup, VERITAS Cluster
Server (VCS) with Storage Area Network (SAN), Control-M, and Apache web
server processes. I monitored the WAN and switched out the existing
routers when new ones were purchased. I wrote Perl/Shell Scripts to
support the servers.
I was responsible for converting the Oracle 9 DB to Oracle 10. Set up OEM
for monitoring and database maintenance. Wrote PL/SQL code.
I also supported a new Linux server that was built as a development machine
with Red Hat, RAID 5, and Oracle 10.

client/server application that was converted from an IBM mainframe system.

using C/C++, UNIX, Sybase, Tuxedo, and Nmake.

Functioned as the system administrator for a new UNIX based client/server

Responsibilities included implementing an Enterprise network to connect six
regional sites to the national database located in Kansas City, installing
200 sun clients in six regional sites, upgrading the operating system,
application source code, and third party software on the client machines,
and establishing the support framework for the client machines.
