SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

. 12+ years experience working in the Chemical Industry.

. 3+ years experience as a Manager / Supervisor.

. Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering.

. MBA from Drexel University.

. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.

WORK EXPERIENCE

CHEMTURA CORPORATION July 2008 - June 2010

Plant Engineer

. Managed 2010 capital budget of $552k. Defined project scopes, gathered

vendor bids, consulted local township on permitting requirements, and

submitted CARs (authorization requests to spend capital). Projects for

2010 include:

o Successfully installing a new freight lift in the Grease Department

thus providing personnel a safe and efficient means for transferring

materials. Handled township matter over obtaining proper permit.

o Finding a long term solution to eliminate roof leaks over Bldgs 1

and 2 within the requirements of local fire code and FM Global

insurance recommendations.

o Improving safety and operator access in Tank Farm A by excavating a

larger pit to retain water and by diverting incoming water from Tank

Farm F directly to Oil-Water Separator. Project resulted from a

recordable injury in Tank Farm A.

o Establishing Fall Protection in critical loading and unloading areas

to ensure operator safety and OSHA compliance. Worked with vendor in

selecting appropriate units for each area.

o Pursuing the purchase and installation of a new thermal hot oil unit

to replace the existing 6MM BTU unit that is outdated and

inefficient. New unit will be rated 4MM BTU, will use a lower

costing heating fluid, and will therefore result in significant long

term cost savings.

o Installing disconnects with lock-out provisions on all equipment per

findings from a plant-wide survey. Survey evolved from a corporate

mandate to ensure all equipment has lockout provisions.

. Successfully met 2009 capital budget spend of $318. Key projects

completed include:

o Installing a new Carbon Absorption Unit that removes alcohol and

reduces emissions to within permissible limits. Project resulted per

a consent order established between Chemtura and NJDEP.

o Installing a larger pump and updated electrical to improve capacity

to pump scrubber solution to educator and increase vacuum necessary

to remove HCl and alcohol vapors from the reactor.

o Installing a new Nitrogen tank in a new location per supplier

requirements that the original tank was old and the original

location inside a dike was unsafe and presented an asphyxiation

hazard.

o Providing a high level alarm system for all tanks in Tank Farms A

and F as well as for the Heptane Tank per Process Safety Management

audit and findings.

. Prepared the Ortho-Silicates process for production runs to meet

customer demand. Directed maintenance to make necessary repairs and

upgrades and coordinated removal of spent carbon from previous runs.

. Gathered emissions data and calculated emissions for Ortho-Silicate

batch runs.

. Managed a maintenance crew of four to address daily plant needs and

ensure efficient plant flow.

. Established and kept up with preventive maintenance program to reduce

downtime and unplanned work orders and to comply with ISO requirements.

Used Cworks software to generate and track work orders.

. Worked with EHS Manager in addressing action items from Process Safety

Management Audit.

. Ordered parts and services to maintain plant flow and then entered and

completed purchase orders in SAP. Developed a log in Excel to better

track the status of all parts and services ordered.

. Conducted Management of Change for all process and plant upgrades that

were not replacements in kind.

TROY CORPORATION April 2007 - April 2008

Production Supervisor

. Directed and allocated operators to address daily production demands in

the safest and most efficient manner.

. Ensured completion of all production documentation to ensure accurate

inventory tracking and compliance with OSHA, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000

requirements.

. Reduced product cycle times by increasing first pass rates resulting in

meeting monthly production requirements and in achieving significant

labor cost savings.

. Adjusted and approved union worker times and pay rates to accurately

allocate labor costs.

. Entered completed batch cards into the Business Planning and Control

System (BPCS) to properly account for pounds produced and raw materials

used.

BIOMERIX CORPORATION September 2006 - February

2007

Consultant

. Generated documentation of all systems associated with the facility

including plan drawings, P&ID's, and equipment lists per FDA

requirements.

. Validated all existing processes pertinent to product development per

FDA requirements.

CREST FOAM INDUSTRIES November 2000 - August

2006

Chemical Engineer

. Worked with production operators to ensure smooth start-up and

operation of the foaming process. Continuously adjusted critical

parameters during runs to achieve desired product specifications.

. Developed and updated process documentation that included P&ID's, pump

calibration charts, foam rise profiles, production sheets, and start-

up lists.

. Generated chemical batches of PDQ Prepolymer as required by

production. Trained operator to make batches and to create and store

corresponding documentation.

. Developed an automatically updating database comprising all product

grades, their respective chemical formulations, and most recent

production dates to allow for thorough analyses and comparisons

between various product grades.

. Gathered temperature profiles for all product grades to measure

exothermic reactions and find safe operating ranges.

. Headed installation of new catalyst hard-piping to replace old and

worn hoses and to realize improved material flow, more efficient start-

ups, and cost savings from reduced raw material waste.

. Guided the installation of new tank level indicators to achieve

improved accuracy and more reliable management of raw materials

inventory that would improve production planning.

. Upgraded fire-retardant, cross-linker, and pigment systems for

improved control of material flow and subsequent reductions in both

product and raw material wastes.

. Made several mechanical upgrades that included a new catalyst pump

stand and a leak-free pump housing to hold all drum pumps that

respectively improved operator access and reduced waste and safety

hazards.

. Upgraded old pump drives and chemical flow metering systems with ones

providing accurate readings and tighter control of each chemical

system and of the overall process.

. Maintained Risk Management Program for TDI System. Executed monthly

equipment checks on the existing process, ensured timely completion of

necessary repairs, and updated all pertinent documentation.

drum pumps for all systems to eliminate use of hi-los.

. Reduced Reticulator downtime by collected process and repair data over

two months and finding ideal process settings for each product grade.

. Worked with Reticulator operator to design a new wrapping table that

would allow operators to wrap foam buns more quickly thereby

increasing efficiency and maximizing labor usage.

. Generated PLC documentation for the Reticulator for use by maintenance

and the Control Engineer resulting in faster troubleshooting and cost

savings from reduced downtime.

. Tested product samples to ensure conformity with customer

specifications. Filled in as necessary either in the absence of the QC

Manager or when given large workloads.
