Work Experience
August 2008 present time, Saint-Petersburg, Russia
have been employed at Paladyne Systems (http://www.paladyne.com/) which provides comprehensive
ASP investment management solutions for hedge funds. As a C# developer in Market Data subdivision of
Portfolio Master team I designed and developed client part of ‘Model Broker’ component responsible for
derivative modeling by means of Numerix, SunGard Monis Analyzer and other third-party libraries. During
the tenure I have undergone financial market trainings and participated in numerous discussions and demos
on security valuation and risk management. Presently I am working on highly extensible smart block-based
UI for ‘Valuation Workshop’ component which will be used in particular as an in-house risk analysis solution.
Also being a build master of the team I optimized TF build process notably reducing product build time from
2 hours to about 5 minutes. Other responsibilities included maintenance of product installer and other internal
tools.
October 2007 August 2008, Kiev, Ukraine
worked mostly remotely with Prostobank (http://www.prostobank.ua) which specializes in comparative
analysis of bank offerings for individuals and organizations. During the period of employment I architected
and developed crucial in-house data management application for analysts utilizing C#/WinForms and
PostgreSQL. Notable achievements include implementation of multi-language support for all textual data
which involved writing fairly complex PL/SQL scripts for existing database conversion.
March 2007 November 2007
as a freelance developer fully designed and coded probability calculator for different types of poker.
Writing managed .NET code I contended with native Win32 and Java rival products and finally outperformed
them employing precalculation, results caching and various other heuristics and optimizations.
November 2005 October 2006
was a remote member of development team in London-based Eskudos (former iLevelSoftware, now
defunct). Throughout the tenure completed several outsourcing projects including XML/XSLT templates for
Chevanstell website, internal document management solution for Katolight based on ASP.NET and Windows
Indexing Service, as well as C# bulk email processing module for the company’s CMS product and AJAX
support for ASP.NET internal work item management solution.
February June 2004, Donetsk, Ukraine
worked for Anahoret (http://www.anahoret.com) developing Java Servlets with MySQL data access in
several outsourcing projects for international clients.
1999 2007
successfully participated in numerous individual and team programming competitions up to International
Olympiad in Informatics (see below). Also authored tasks for and was a jury member of Ukrainian
Olympiads in Informatics, as well as prepared schoolchildren for contests, delivering lectures and conducting
seminars on algorithms.

Personal Information
While not skiing and taking photos I tend to read books and articles that help achieve deep understanding of
various subjects that were or could possibly be encountered at work. The ones I have found most useful so far
(largely due to their comprehensiveness) are Hull’s ‘Options, Futures and Other Derivatives’, ‘Code
Complete’ by McConnell, ‘Introduction to algorithms’ by Cormen et al. and 3 rd edition of Richter’s ‘CLR via
C#’, though there were many others by Martin Fowler, Joel Spolsky, Andrew Troelsen, as well as outstanding
blog articles of Eric Lippert it’s just always interesting to learn something new.
As a side note I also like brain teasers much.
