Highlights of Integration Work

In a timely fashion, created core routines in perl to integrate differing real estate “feeds”

and data into a single database system (mysql) and also designed, implemented and tested

image-match software resulting in desired system for real estate agents .

Designed/coverted core routines (UI menuing system, Semaphores, Memory, Queing,

Multithreading etc.) from windows platform(OS/2) to VAX/VMS thus allowing for

minimal defects and minimal . Also translated oracle calls as necessary where differing.

Performed full life cycle for Electrical Company bidding communication

software(design, implementation, testing, integration at customer site, installation, and

training).

Integrated ladder logic designs and converted pascal routines into a water control and

traffic control systems using proprietary form builder with routines written in c .

Highlights of Java Work

Mentored students in Java, Including installation of Eclipse IDE and Netbeans IDE/

wrote several complete examples for study for extended time(about 1 year) thus resulting

in employees gaining the new skills to use on the job

Created Educational Software in Java for mathematics using games for “drilling”

students, thus allowing students to improve their skill sets while being motivated by fun

Redesigned AWT to modern swing UI where appropriate for Japanese translation

software thus resulting in a more modern look for the application

Consultant, Tutoring, Projects (2001- 2007)

Authored/Designed/Implemented/Tested cgi scripts in modperl/perl for automation of

data and presentation of real estate websites with mysql database.

Designed and implemented mysql database scripts and web pages for real estate web sites

using multiple listing information on a linux and windows 2000 environments. Apache

1.3/linux/perl 5.6.1 and Apache 2.0/windows/perl 5.8.1 were used respectively. . The

Dynamic website presented to the user with JAVASCRIPT and HTML and used

advanced HTML templates to produce it from the server side. css was used for styling

when necessary. Sql scripting was used to autoload the database tables.

Converted an Open source japanese writing program (I18N) JAVA program by translated

the AWT routines as necessary to SWING to allowing more standard use of Japanese

fonts with Eclipe IDE.

Authored/Designed/Implemented/Tested perl interface calls to C++ library for web

automation software

Mentored/tutored in Java which resulted in some referrals and students advancing at their

work place due to increase in skill sets(2004-2005)

Computer Associates (1995 - 2001 )

Technical Support and Development for INGRES Database and OpenRoad (Level II)

Designed/Implemented/Tested/Released proprietary patches for the Ingres Database

internals and application software.

-Designed/implemented fixes for customer problems for User Interface Products and

database server on a wide variety of platforms (using telephone/email/fax): NT 4.0, NT

4.0, Windows 95, Windows 3.1, VAX/VMS, ALPHA/VMS, UNIX (SOLARIS). SQL,

Embedded SQL for C and FORTRAN, API interfaces, dynamic SQL etc.

-Ported significant functions of client based source code control system from NT to MAC

using Metrowerks C under MPW in a short amount of time. This system communicates

using TCP/IP with a remote server.

-Fixed bugs in ingres database client for sql based monitor (FAT binary), embedded sql

C-pre-processor and open-api based library (both MPW and Metrowerks compatible

[68000 and power-pc and CFM68K]).

-The server code for INGRES is over 1 million lines of code( 43 platforms - UNIX,

VMS, NT) for a single platform (most of the codeline has a common derivative).

Transdyn Controls (1993 - 1995)

Authored/Designed/Implemented/Tested network and user interface software for

communications with remote units on traffic and water systems.

-Designed, implemented and tested software for complex process control software (in

C/FORTRAN-VAX/VMS) using multi-tasking and client-server software methods as

specified by customers and quality assurance group.

-Designed and implemented complete "just in time" inventory application from customer

specifications

-Designed software for large network of VAXstations (VAX/VMS) to DECstations

(ULTRIX), printers/PC's using LAT, and Remote Terminal Units (For Monitoring and

Control) using DECNET.

-Ported system level calls in C, from OS/2 to VAX/VMS for client-server data transfer

product (EDEX200) between distinctly different computer architectures (using

X.25/DECNET)

-Completely designed automated DECNET based network file update system for

VAX/VMS.

-Designed/implemented ORACLE programs in PRO-C to create a proprietary database.
