OBJECTIVE: To obtain a position where I can use my management skills to grow as a leader.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
January 1995 to October 2010: Lauren Manufacturing
New Philadelphia, OH
Director of Materials and Planning (2009 to 2010):
Manage and oversee all incoming raw materials; work with vendors to establish kanbans based on usage
and lead time. I also worked with customers to set up kanbans based on their own usage, lead time and
ordering patterns. In addition, I oversee the scheduling of the entire plant which includes 33 extrusion
lines and 20 off line work centers. Customer orders must be scheduled not only to meet the customer
expectation but also to optimize our line time by minimizing our changeover time & scrap reduction.
Business Unit Manager (2003 to 2009):
Manage and oversee all aspects of operations within the Vehicle and Transportation Market Unit from
obtaining new business through the daily production activities. My direct reports include Customer
Service, Production Planners, Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, Application Engineers and 60 union
shop floor associates. I was actively involved with many customers to obtain new business and grow our
automotive segment.
Customer Service Mgr. (2001 – 2003):
Manage a group of 10 Customer Service Representatives. Oversee all aspects of the quoting process from
material selection to process conditions; worked very closely with our outside sales representatives to
obtain new business. In addition, once a job had been awarded, my responsibilities would shift to our
internal departments to ensure the hand off between Customer Service and our Tooling Engineers was a
seamless as possible.
Project Manager (2000 – 2001):
Manage all incoming new business that had either a sales potential of over $50,000 or was that of a
strategic customer regardless of the sales dollars.
R & D Lab Supervisor/Development Specialist (1995 – 2000):
Oversee the daily activities of the R & D lab; supervised 6 lab technicians. Read and interpret customer
specific requirements to aid with compound selection and quoting. Developed new materials to meet
customer specific needs. Worked directly with many suppliers to make our current formulations more cost
effective.
1988 – 1991 DLH INDUSTRIES

R & D Lab Technician:
Read, interpret and perform various testing per ASTM or SAE test specifications.
1984 – 1988 FLEX TECHNOLGIES
Midvale OH
Customer Service Representative (1987 – 1988):
Perform various customer service duties such as data entry, billing, quoting, and consignments
Engineering Technician (1984 – 1987):
Worked with the engineering department to supply all prototype builds to customers.
EDUCATION:
• 1981 – Graduated from Jewett-Scio High School
• 1982 – 1983 – Attended Jefferson Community College
• I have attended various seminars and classes over the years covering everything
from leadership to customer service to polymer related classes.
QUALIFIED EXPERIENCE:
I am an extremely hard working individual with a track record of working hard to
understand all aspects of my current position. The last 7 to8 years of my career have been
focused primarily on Lean Manufacturing. I have worked with suppliers and customers to
set up kanbans to ensure JIT delivery all while reducing inventory. I have also worked
within our plant to develop standard work and to ensure that we have our raw materials
set up at the point of use for our shop floor associates. I firmly believe that is
managements’ responsibility to remove all obstacles from the shop floor associates to
ensure a quality product delivered on time.
