. Implementation and consolidation of Point of Sale systems (450+ stores)
using SAP POS software (formerly Triversity) on new IBM touch screen
registers and several back end systems ($15 million project).
. Implemented 'pay by scan' (consignment) system with an inventory cost
avoidance of over $10 million in the first year. Pay by scan vendors
accounted for $40 million in inventory reduction at time of my departure.
. Implemented EDI system, including outbound invoices and purchase orders,
as well as advanced ship notices (ASN), resulting in supply chain
efficiencies and labor savings.
. Active involvement in 3 successful mergers: Sportmart in 1998, Oshman's
in 2001 and The Sports Authority (FL) in 2003. Activities included data
conversion and validation, application go-forward decisions and user
training.
