Project Experiences
. San Bernardino County Courthouse Tenant Improvement and Central Plant
Upgrades - Role as senior designer working directly under project
manager. The scope includes mechanical upgrades; to renovate 1400-ton
central plant including cooling towers, chillers, pumps, steam boilers,
heat exchanger. Plumbing upgrades; to replace entire plumbing piping
including Court daily holding cells. Electrical system upgrades; ADA
compliance, fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system, central plant
validation study for entire courthouse complex, and cogeneration
feasibility study. Construction cost estimates $28M, completed in 2010.
. AT&T/Call Center, Bay Area, Ca. - Project engineer to renovate 800-ton
air cooled condensing units, air handling units, purge system for battery
room, clean agent fire protection and monitoring system, emergency
generators, underground fuel & day tank, all electrical upgrades for
telecom equipment including rectifiers, ATS system and power surge &
lightening projection. Challenges: The facility must stay in operation
24/7 (call center), temporary cooling and 100% redundancy system.
. San Bernardino County Civic Center Building - HVAC Evaluation and
Replacement. Senior Designer working directly under project manager of
the project. Involve in select, design and layout of DX system consisting
of 150-ton compressors, evaporative condensers, fan motors, cooling
coils.
. San Bernardino County Detention Center - HVAC Evaluation and Replacement.
Senior Designer working directly under project manager of the project.
Involve in select, design and layout all AHUs serving men & women jails
and holding cells. Replace all exhaust systems. Replace boiler using
geothermal hot water & heat exchangers.
. San Bernardino County Hall of Records - HVAC Evaluation and Replacement.
Replace (4) 90-ton rooftop packaged units, VAV boxes, reheat coils and
DDC controls.
. San Bernardino County Information Services Dept. Computer Room - HVAC
Study and Replacement. Upgrade central air distribution and central plant
using package central plant.
. Corona Naval surface Warfare Center - Calculate and layout ductwork, VAV
boxes, chilled and hot water piping of Under-floor Air conditioning
systems of new buildings.
. Los Angeles Unified School District - Heliotrope Elementary School,
Parmelee Elementary School, Nimitz Middle School, Birmingham High School
and Lull Special Education Center air conditioning replacements at
Classroom and Auditorium facilities; 93rd Street Elementary School
