11/2006-10/30/ Plant Manager Maumee Stamping Plant, Maumee, Ohio
08 Responsible for all cost, quality, manning and shipping of
plastic and steel stamped parts.
This plant is being closed down as part of the Ford Motor
Company down seizing to become competitive in the market
place.
We currently have 400 people working at this plant that was
800 people.
This down seizing creates significant manpower and union
issues because we are converting to all part timers to send
people to plants that will continue to operate.
2/2005-11/2006 Lean Manufacturing Manager/Asst. Plt. Mgr., Woodhaven
Stamping, Woodhaven, MI
Responsible for all manufacturing and engineering activities
for a Stamping with 700 employees and moving 28 tons of steel
a week.
Responsible for shipping 55,000 parts/day with improving
quality. These parts are shipped to 7 assembly plants in
Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
My daily duties included driving lean manufacturing
implementation in all aspects of the plants operating system.
Responsible for developing the plants 93 million dollar budget
and in 2006 we made our budget and turned back 12 million
dollars.
10/2004-2/2005 Special Assignment, Ford/Aston Martin, Birmingham, England
Assigned to increase production by 20% without sacrificing
quality targets. (complete success)
While at Aston Martin I improved their quality by 20% by
working with their suppliers and increased their productivity
form 84 units a day to115 units per day.
I worked directly for the CEO Dr. Bezt with a limited amount
of resources.
5/2003-10/2004 Lean Manufacturing Manager/Asst. Plt. Mgr., Dearborn Stamping,
Dearborn, MI
The quality system was not operational and we were shipping
parts that was not acceptable to the Assembly Plants.
In the next 6 month I drove the change in the quality
operating system from being the worst of the stamping plants
to being the best and that year we received the Presidents
Award for Quality.
We were awarded the most improved in safety and productivity
that same year.

Total responsibility for launch of the new Ford 500 Luxury
Platform in Chicago and Atlanta.
Negotiated with State of Georgia on incentive package for new
assembly plant.
