2009 - Present Maval Publishing
Graphic designer and account manager for the first U.S. branch office of
Maval Publishing, the third largest publishing house in Latin America. Sold
advertising and printing services throughout Denver and the surrounding
suburbs to a wide variety of clients. Designed ads, page layouts, magazine
and directory covers, and worked closely with a third party web developer
to create Maval's internet presence.
?Became acting local graphic designer and art director when the
graphics team at our home office in Santiago, Chile fell behind on
production dates.
?Became the editor for the English portion of HealthTips magazine, a
quarterly bilingual publication created by Maval Publishing and
distributed in the Denver area.

2009 - Present Rocky Mountain Internal Medicine
The owner of Maval Publishing also owns Rocky Mountain Internal Medicine in
Aurora. I created new marketing material for RMIM to use with lawyers,
attorneys and insurance providers to solicit the use of RMIM's facilities
on a contingency basis. Increased RMIM's revenue by increasing the number
of outside contacts that use RMIM as a preferred provider for auto accident
and worker's comp injuries.
?Received the position of Marketing Coordinator; was instrumental in
media planning and media buys, the development of company imaging and
branding, created new communication tools to judge the effectiveness of
campaigns.
2010 - Present Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Education Coordinator for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce leads group,
responsible for finding and booking presenters for bi-weekly meetings at
the Chamber.
2010 - Present The Um
Promotion and design work for an Aurora based independent record label and
band called The Um, winner of several "best in Colorado" awards from
Westword and other local media outlets. I was responsible for show
promotions such as posters, cards and other creative design material.

identity and image.
2008 Chappelow Arts Literacy Magnet
Served as the Public Relations liaison for the Chappelow Arts Literacy
Magnet school in Evans, Colo., as an internship in the capstone journalism
public relations course. Key duties included identifying and catering to
client needs, contacting local print and broadcast media, working closely
with local artists and businesses on upcoming events and publicizing the
events.
? I worked with multiple school officials as well as many local
businesses and artists to set up fundraiser events such as Bandfest
2008 and International Night. Also created a full public relations
plan for Chappelow to implement in the next school year in order to
boost community awareness and participation in Chappelow fundraisers
and events.
2007 - 2008 Advertising Campaigns - America Online
Worked with 13 of the top students from the Marketing, Finance, Journalism
and Graphic Design programs at the University of Northern Colorado in an
advertising agency setting. Created an advertising campaign for the client,
America Online, and then pitched it to an
AOL representative and a panel of judges. Campaign was finished on
schedule.
2007 University Directories
Summer internship in advertising sales - Achieved 100% of goal in record
time for the Greeley market, sold in multiple markets across Colorado, blue
collar award winner, consistently went on over 30 sales calls per day
involving in-person contact with business and store owners. Finished in top
25% of sales reps in the Rocky Mountain region spanning multiple states,
with $18,461 in total sales for the summer. Worked in multiple team
environments and settings. Received multiple job offers from clients.
