Hello,
I have been a Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager as well as a
Quality Engineer for various manufacturing companies and I am at ease
filling any of these roles. I have experience in the following industries;
computer, fabric reinforced, rubber diaphragms (for automobiles &
aircraft), and medical microscope slides. I was a novice to each product
when I started and I quickly became very competent with those products.
Some people wonder if I am a "hands on" person and if I can go from
management to being an individual contributor. The answer to both is, yes.
Although I have managerial skills, I am perfectly comfortable with no one
reporting to me.
Often times, I would host a customer or regulatory audit in the
morning and in the afternoon I would be using a pallet jack to move
material. I know what needs to be done and I make sure it gets done. I
can lead, I can follow, and I can work on my own. I don't have a
preference because the important thing is to get done what the company
needs done.
I am dependable, trustworthy, intelligent, responsible and diligent.
I am approachable and I get back to people. I own my mistakes, learn from
them, and work very hard not to repeat them.
I have extensive Corrective and Preventive Action experience and do
not offer a root cause until I have walked the process. I also have
extensive experience in internal auditing experience to ISO 9001 and
maintaining requirements for TS and AS9100 standards.
At Celestica and Thermo Fisher, Continuous Improvement Teams are a
way of life. I have very good process mapping skills and I always walk the
process before recommending a course of action.
Although I do not have 120 college credits for Bachelor's Degree, I
do have 154 college credits covering three Associate Degrees. The point
is, I love to learn and I enjoy teaching as well.
I can do this job. If you hire me, you'll never regret it.
If any of this sparks your interest, I look forward to hearing
from you.
Respectfully,
Dean Cornwell
