Project Description:
Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC) is a financial services company,
the largest bank holding company in the United States, by assets, and the
second largest bank by market capitalization.[5][6][7][8] Bank of America
serves clients in more than 150 countries and has a relationship with 99%
of the U.S. Fortune 500 companies and 83% of the Fortune Global 500. It has
more than 2000 databases (production, development and staging). This
involved centralized administration of around 2000 databases as a 24*7
support system. For space monitoring and file system monitoring BMC Patrol
is used and Remedy ticketing system is implemented to register any type of
database issues. Backup and recovery is done using RMAN and also using the
Operating System tools.
Responsibilities:

Qtel is Telecom giant in Qatar. They are the responsible body for providing
high quality voice and data services.
This project was up-gradation and migration project. New system was to be
migrated with 11i with 10g database. In addition to this the new system has
to be deployed on new platform as well as with HA architecture. The project
was a challenging task due to its complex architecture.

Merrill Lynch, a mutual fund company having around 1000 databases (450
production and development and staging). This involved centralized
administration of around 1200 databases as a 24*7 support system. It
consists of 3 types of databases like production, development and staging.
