Role: Sr. Informatica Architect/Lead

Duration: Aug 2010 – Present

There is an expectation from the leadership team to provide consistent, relevant KPI reporting as we move into the FMO (Future

Mode of Operations) in the HPES outsourcing agreement. Currently, multiple teams are manually creating reports to highlight

metrics on KPIs across the organization relating to the IT Project Portfolio, Project Approval, HPES contractual obligations,

Finance, Project Delivery, and the Victory Plan.

Data is kept in multiple locations in varying formats, and is time consuming to compile. Based on the time required to manually

compile the KPI data, little time is available to provide appropriate commentary on the trends and variances.

Although the project title contains “KPI”, meaning “key performance indicators”, the business needs access to any data that enables

managers to understand what is driving IT performance. Therefore, the repository should be designed such that it can contain any

and all data that might have a potential to monitor performance.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for gathering Business requirement and translate into technical requirements.

• Involved in data modeling for IT Business Metrics Repository.

• Extract data from the source files such as Budget, Actuals & forecast data for the projects.

• Develop the Informatica Mappings for IT business Metrics to load data from flat files on to the dimensions & fact tables

using Informatica Power Center 8.6.

• Develop the strategy to check the consistency of data between the source systems & the data warehouse.

• Responsible for creating the Modules & chains in Appworx scheduler to schedule the Workflows.

• Migrated the workflows from Dev to QA environment.

• Designed the data validation strategy for validating the data against warehouse.

• Developed the shell script to ftp the files from tumbleweed secured FTP server to Informatica Server and clean up the .csv

files.

• Used PVCS to maintain the versioning of the informatica mappings, Migration documents.

• Created the database scripts for the data model, which can be executed across different environments.

• worked with Normailzer transformation to convert the revenue of Actuals, Budget, Forecast month.

• Develop the reusable transformation to reconcile the data b/w sources & targets across various objects.
