United Parcel Service Metro DC - 1997 to Present:
Business and Distribution Manager
Landover, MD.
UPS Business Manager at the DC Metro Facility. Manager of multiple
operations such as the Landover Operations Center and the Washington D.C.
Package Facility. Currently prepares for all delivery functions in
Washington, DC. As Building Operations Manager, manages all inside
operation and is responsible for 32 full time and part time management
personnel and 172 hourly employees. Responsible for total P & L for inside
operations.
Responsible for Hazmat training, powered industrial train operations, and
designated Hazmat training. Also oversees yard safety, production, cost,
and quality goals.
Performed daily method evaluation on employees and performed safety
training. Also has responsibility for inbound and outbound trailers.
Transportation Manager
Burtonsville, MD.
Manager of the largest District Operation. Lead a team of 72 management
people and over 400 employees. The P & L responsibility of this operation
is 17 million. The primary responsibility was processing 1 million
packages a week while keeping a safe, accurate, and cost effective
operation.
Delivery Supervisor
Burtonsville, MD.
As Delivery Supervisor managed 50 service providers daily. Met safety,
service, and quality goals. Also managed and created routes to establish a
cost efficient delivery team. Optimized time of assigned service providers
though a planned dispatch. Established and maintained good working
relationships with a large customer base daily.
