Work Experience

1988 to 2009 - Worked and retired in Motorola/On Semiconductor as a

Facitlities Operations Manager responsible for 2 sites with a total

headcount of 3000 employees. I had 35 staff reporting to me. Total of 22

years work experience in this company.

1985 to 1988 - Worked in the United Asian Bank Building as a Property

manager responsible for maintenance of the whole building with 600

employees. I had 8 staff reporting to me.

1982 to 1985 - Worked in a Palm Oil Processing Factory as a Maintenance

Foreman responsible for maintenance of the factory with 80 employees. I had

3 staff reporting to me.

1979 to 1982 - Worked in Lever Brothers as a maintenance technician

responsible for maintenance of the factory in terms of electrical and

mechanical systems.

Work Responsibility in Motorola/On Semiconductor. Seremban, Malaysia

(February 1988 - Present)

ON Semi conductor (formerly known as Motorola Semiconductor) was the first

Wafer Fab in Malaysia making wafers for small signal products. Migrated

from the original 4" to 6" and currently moving to 8" in some areas.

Overall responsibility for the following support areas and equipment in ON

Semiconductor, Seremban Malayisa.

. High Voltage Distribution systems, Low Voltage distribution systems 15

MW load.

. Deionized water plant capacity 500 GPM at 17 mega ohms.

. Waste water treatment plant 600 GPM.

. Clean room air conditioning for class 100 with an area of 80,000 sq ft.

. Vacuum pumps capacity of 7000 cubic feet per minute.

. Gas distribution comprising of Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Oxygen, Liquid

Argon, Hydrogen c/w vaporizers and filter skids.

. Exhaust systems comprising of Acid, Solvent, Ammonia, Heat and General

exhaust, with a total capacity of 150,000 cubic ft per minute.

. Telephone systems and PABX with 300 extensions.

. Fire protection system comprising of sprinklers, smoke and heat

detectors, Hydrants, Hose reels, smoke spill systems, alarm panel, fire

pumps and generators.

. Burglar alarms and closed circuit TV

. Process cooling water at 18 deg C with a capacity of 600 gpm.

PROJECTS COMPLETED

1985 - Construction of 25 storey building for United Asian Bank in Kuala

Lumpur.

1988- Construction of Wafer Fab and Assembly test facility for Motorola in

Seremban.

1991- Construction of Assembly test facility for Motorola in Leshan,

China.

1994 - Construction of assembly test facility for Motorola in Seremban .

1996 - Extension of Wafer Fab for Motorola in Seremban.

1998 - 2nd phase of Extension for Wafer Fab, Motorola Seremban.

2001 - Extension of Wafer Fab from 20000 sq ft to 30000 sq ft for On

Semiconductor.

2003 - Construction of class 100 clean room, civil works only in Leshan

China for ON Semiconductor.

2004 - Construction of Sewage treatment facility for ON Semi Seremban.

2008 - Construction of additional 50,000 sq ft of class 100 clean room in

Seremban.

2009 - Completed various cost-saving projects in Motorola and On

Semiconductor.

Details of cost saving projects completed.

1. Installation of capacitors for large motors to improve power factor

correction.

2. Installation of frequency drives for under utilized motors.

3. Replacement of old equipment to new energy efficient type.

4. Replacement of light bulbs to energy efficient type.

5. Waste water recycling systems to reduce water consumption.

6. Redistribution of compressed dry air pipes to reduce the number of

compressors in use.

7. Redistribution of vacuum pipes to reduce the number of vacuum pumps.

8. Replace conventional starters for motors with electronic type to reduce

wear and tear.

9. Fix all leaks and develop a continuous improvement program to reduce gas

and air leaks.

10. Replace compressed dry air dryers from -70 deg C to +5 deg C thus

reducing compressor load by 20%.

11. Replace desiccant purge dryers to refrigerant zero purge dryers.

12. Carry out small maintenance jobs with in house technicians instead of

hiring contractors.

13. Installation of flow control valves during idle position for wet etch

hoods to prevent over usage of deionized water.

14. Installation of flow control valves for Nitrogen and air to prevent

over usage.

15. Installation of DYSC voltage sag correctors for critical equipment to

prevent down time.

16. Installation Uninterrupted Power Supply for critical equipment to

prevent down time.
