EDUCATION
BS, Civil Engineering May 2009
Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK GPA: 3.1
Relevant Coursework:
Technical Writing Structural Analysis
Environmental Risk Assessment Structural Steel
Design
Air Pollution Control Advanced
Reinforced Concrete Design
Environmental Engineering Engineering Design/CAD
Environmental Unit Operations Construction Engineering &
Project Management
Project Highlights:
. Sanitary Landfill Design: Worked in a group of three students to design
all major components of a sanitary landfill (including site selection,
drainage, leachate control, monitoring, and cost estimate) in compliance
with EPA and DEQ regulations. Findings and analyses were presented to the
City of Stillwater and the Oklahoma DEQ. It was suggested that the City
of Stillwater not pursue the development of a landfill.
. Applied Hydraulics: Independently designed, modeled, and analyzed
municipal water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems.
. Environmental Risk Analysis: Independently researched, analyzed, and
presented the environmental and health risk assessment associated with
various correlating contaminated localities. Risk sites were evaluated
on a range of exposure and environmental contaminants.
. Structural Steel Design: Worked in a group of three students to design
and analyze all major components of a multistory steel building (i.e.
columns, beams, welds, bolts and cost estimate) in compliance with AISC.
Designs and analyses were presented in a written report and PowerPoint
presentation.
. Reinforced Concrete Design: Independently analyzed and designed a
multistory reinforced concrete building IAW ACI standards. Involved the
design aspects of the building (one-way and two-way slabs, columns,
beams, footing, etc.) as well as presentation of results via an oral and
written report.
