. Sanitary Landfill Design: Worked in a group of three students to design

all major components of a sanitary landfill (including site selection,

drainage, leachate control, monitoring, and cost estimate) in compliance

with EPA and DEQ regulations. Findings and analyses were presented to the

City of Stillwater and the Oklahoma DEQ. It was suggested that the City

of Stillwater not pursue the development of a landfill.

. Applied Hydraulics: Independently designed, modeled, and analyzed

municipal water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems.

. Environmental Risk Analysis: Independently researched, analyzed, and

presented the environmental and health risk assessment associated with

various correlating contaminated localities. Risk sites were evaluated

on a range of exposure and environmental contaminants.

. Structural Steel Design: Worked in a group of three students to design

and analyze all major components of a multistory steel building (i.e.

columns, beams, welds, bolts and cost estimate) in compliance with AISC.

Designs and analyses were presented in a written report and PowerPoint

presentation.

. Reinforced Concrete Design: Independently analyzed and designed a

multistory reinforced concrete building IAW ACI standards. Involved the

design aspects of the building (one-way and two-way slabs, columns,

beams, footing, etc.) as well as presentation of results via an oral and

written report.
