Responsibility for all engineering aspects of unit design, including
systems, hardware, and software development as well as product
support.
. Used the increased responsibility as Program Manager for the F/A-18
Stores Management System to allow skills development in new areas
of discipline to increase core capabilities.
. As Program Manager for the Pylon Interface Unit on the Apache AH-
64D weapons control unit, I worked with McDonnell Douglas
Helicopter to field and qualify the unit for on time roll out of
the aircraft. This included the proposal and successful negotiation
of a major design change ($2M).
. With DARPA and McDonnell Douglas provided the prototype for a
microprocessor controlled solid state solution for secondary power
control system which yielded the successful proposal wins on the
Boeing UCAV X-45A & C ($4M) and the C130J Electronic Circuit
Breaker Unit (ECBU) ($6M) for NRE implementation.
. Key participant in generating the C130J ECBU and the JSF X-35
proposals, which resulted in awards to Smiths in 1999 and 2000.
Both programs yielded major UK production orders of over $100M.

Provided project management and direction for Operational Flight
Software for two of the company's Stores Management Systems.
. Successfully took over the lead of the F/A-18 Stores Management
Software, maintained schedule and budget with no impact due to the
staffing change and resolved 1 year old delinquent data issues.
. Implemented 3 major design changes to the F/A-18 Software
coordinating with McDonnell Douglas and Navy personnel at China
Lake, Ca. as technical liaison.
. Coordinated 1st implementation of DoD Std 2167 to show company
capability with the standard on the A6-F Stores Management System.

Promoted to software manager of the test equipment software group of 5
