Sunrise Labs is a design and engineering company providing embedded
system and software product development services to clients in medical,
industrial and commercial markets.
Security System, C++, Windows
. Designed and tested business logic software to manage transmissions
to/from and states of ground penetrating radar motion sensors in an n-
tier architecture product. Collected data packets were stored in a
SQL database.
. Used threads, queue template classes and IOCP calls for socket
communications with sensors.
. Product was selected 2007 Product of the Year by the New Hampshire
High Technology Council.
XML Reporter, Windows, XSL, C#, ASP.Net, ADO.Net

documents.
. Analyzed customer code and SQL DB to determine location of fields for
created documents.
. Significant xml pathing used to accommodate the complex DB schema and
support several custom report types which included text, tables and
graphs. Implemented graphs (linear and logarithmic) with VML.
Medical Instrument Control, C++, Windows
. Designed and tested software for RS232 communications between PC and 8
osmometers.
. Used serial overlapped I/O, threading, event objects and state tables
to coordinate information between the osmometers and higher level
code.
. World's fastest osmometer test system of it's kind in 2007.
Plane engine data project, C, Windows and embedded
. Designed and tested absolute diameter calculations for jet engine
turbine blades. PC development for QNX target.
. Implemented drivers to retrieve data from thermocouple and laser
devices over RS232 ports and store the data into shared memory areas.
. Designed schema for SQL database to store engine parts data. Design
was based on relationship of data part and serial numbers as well as
assemblies.
High-end Home Entertainment Product, embedded
. Developed, unit tested and integrated an MP3 UI and a hard disk drive
UI in C++ for an embedded system using Nucleus RTOS.
. Wrote both UI Design Documents. The HDD UI had 8 interfacing modules
and a 30 page requirement spec.
. Designed a complex algorithm to accommodate: 6 different modes of
music play from 2 different audio zones, determining assignment of
audio zones and CD rip to either of 2 navigator streams, coordinate
with the primary system allocation module and manage deletion of songs
from the music database.
Worked with the marketing UI group to resolve UI requirements issues.
