Selected Accomplishments
Leveraged system upgrade into $250M+ new channel. Mercury upgraded airborne
radar system. Called on customer's customers - government and related
contractors and evaluators. Coordinated sales efforts with another region
to help close deal. Won a multi-year contract locking company into new
business segment.
Created $200M+ innovative COTS business. Mercury sales of embedded
computing for missiles was non-existent. Developed and obtained company,
customer and end-user buy-in for new product implementation and business.
Met design, performance, price and margin goals for first COTS processing
to go into missiles.
Boosted territory revenues five-fold with 20 new design wins. Low-producing
Annapolis territory lost two major customers. Leveraged relationships with
previous customers and prospected new customers. Demonstrated product
performance and risk-mitigation capabilities. Established company-first
volume purchase agreement.
Garnered $186M total-program business opportunity. Mercury introduced new
sonar product. Called on government lab and local defense contractor.
Provided loaner/development equipment. Afforded winning contractor
significant support. Coordinated technology transition to other regions,
adding additional contract awards.
Secured 80-system electronics warfare contract award. Annapolis sought to
replace home-grown system of potential customer with its COTS product.
Developed relationship with end user, stressing minimal risk with new
system. Ported over new application on loaner hardware to demonstrate
system. Won two-tiered agreement.
Led post-acquisition web-based sales team integration. Assisted M&A team in
integrating and training existing acquired sales force on new product line.
Initiated sales training over the Web after the deal was done but yet to be
announced. Developed strategy and presentation materials. Added $20M to
revenue stream in first year.
Career History
Northeast Regional Manager, Annapolis Micro Systems, 2003-2010. Led
Sales/Account Management of NE U.S. and Canada territory. Managed sales of
real-time embedded system turnkey solutions. Secured two new ground-based
radar and electronic warfare program wins with combined total program value
of $20M.
Director, Emerging Markets/Market & Business Development, Mercury Computer
Systems, 1993-2003. Established new revenue streams with major government
entities. Managed $8M budget and 40 staff. Earlier: Director, National
Sales Manager (grew Defense Electronics Group to $200M+), and Northeast
Regional Manager (grew territory/regional bookings by 25-30% year-over-
year). President's Club last six years.

Personal interests: I enjoy skiing, kayaking, boating and cooking, the
latter evidenced by a Culinary Arts Pastry Chef Certificate from Chez

Responder and a volunteer chef at Our Neighbors Table soup kitchen, both
local non profits.
