Accounts Payables / Freight Settlement Clerk

• Responsible for reviewing and processing invoices received from rail, truck, and

intermodal carriers which have variances to company transportation system; Work

with carriers and operations to resolve issues causing variances. Prepare inbound

& outbound invoices from warehouses for payment; Verify contract terms and

rates for completeness and accuracy; Validate rail movement and rate authority;

Apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model for operational

efficiency to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase

efficiency through waste elimination; Track, update, and process various carrier

v-lookups in Excel database to ensure correctness; Research, resolve, and balance

due and non-payment issues as they relate to mileage, rate, fuel, or other issues.
