Developed and wrote an automated balancing system for the mainframe and

Assigned to Employee Benefits at ING (in Minneapolis, formerly Reliastar
Life Insurance, formerly USLICO) offers traditional and universal life
insurance products as well as voluntary insurance products.
I was also a member of the Financial team and worked on general ledger
applications, federal and statutory insurance reserves requirements, and
state audit requirements. We were audited by many states (i.e. Texas,
CA, CT, etc.) I interacted directly with users, actuaries, accountants,

USLICO is now part of ING Americas. I was hired as a programmer trainee
and mainly worked on mainframe applications using Assembler and COBOL.
During this time, I was given the opportunity to write the Automated
Letter Processing System to generate letters which are triggered by
certain transactions. This is still used by the company with an
interface to NAPERSOFT.
