Profile
Creative, strategic minded leader with the ability to organize, inspire and
drive organizational goals by applying innovative thinking to strategy,
people and operations. Team-oriented leadership combined with refined
skills for analysis, collaboration and problem solving supports a
management style with a major contribution potential. A practical business
acumen that ranges from tactical formulation to delivering actionable
plans, confirms confidence in the ability to achieve success when moving in
any new direction.
Professional Accomplishments
? Directed the total renovation of Web sites and web site initiatives in
the region. The project led to a 143 percent increase in revenue in the
first six months and a three-fold increase in traffic. This included new
looks, new content, new sales and marketing initiatives and new ways to
build traffic.
? Improved bottom-line profit by 112% by leading an organizational turn
around for the Newark Post, Delaware Business Ledger and the Monthly Flier
Group, setting a new precedent for revenue accountability.
? Grew the business substantially, increasing ad revenue by 70%, without
increasing production costs, by expanding circulation from 3000 to 17,000
subscribers through providing free newspapers to a broader population base.
? Oversaw the transition of a new Web site for the daily newspaper,
converting an old free model to a new subscriber model with limited loss of
traffic. This doubled Web site revenue for the year.
? Built positive consensus with all of the editors in our newspaper
publishing group, achieving maximum efficiency from the printing equipment,
while meeting every publication date. This effort significantly reduced
idle press time and allowed the printing department to actively seek
outside jobs and revenue because a reliable schedule was in place.
? Capitalized on the opportunity to improve production schedule by creating
a pagination department that used under-utilized graphic design people to
capture efficiencies in editorial quality as well as the overall look of
the publication.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS CONTINUED...
? Improved ad quality, scheduling and on-time completion of a profitable
newspaper ad function by achieving employee buy-in through recognizing and
building upon employees true skill sets. Each person became an integral
part of the operation, rather than a mere cog in the process.
