determine cycle t ime for each process and set up standard work to ensure Takt t imes and
weekly production goals are met.
• Backtracked the quality problems on the small navigator and found countermeasures
to i t, effectively implementing the countermeasures in place.
• Performed non-stop clock time studies; Effort-rated these studies to calculate the
d istance t ravelled by each person/parts picked in order to minimize movement while
maximizing parts picked which resulted in reduction of labor from 45 to 27 people.
• Focused on improving productivity by 20%, increasing space by 50%, throughput rate
by 20% and meet all TAKT t imes on the paint line.
• Redesigned the T-bar carts on AutoCad, resulting in an increase from 5 parts/bar to 8
parts/bar which led to increase in throughput rate by 30%.
