Steamfitter Apprentice
Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or
other liquids or gases including heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning systems.
Participate in the installation, repair, assembly and maintenance of water, sewer, drainage, air,
gas and vacuum systems and related equipment ensuring compliance with codes, department
instructions, work schedules and quality standards.
Exercise tact and discretion when providing maintenance and repair service to
electrical/mechanical HVAC equipment located in professional office space.
Exercise problem solving techniques to test and calibrate electrical/mechanical HVAC
equipment including but not limited to; use of blueprints technical orders, schematics, writing
diagrams, manufacturer's specifications and other testing equipment.
Analyze blueprints, schematics and diagrams to determine conduit flow.
Perform Quality Control inspection on newly installed conduit.
Inspect, install and perform preventative maintenance of electrical/mechanical HVAC
equipment; including but not limited to air handlers, cooling towers, and other ancillary
