Project Experience Details:

1. Development of Ultrasonic Equipment Application

(Feb 10 - May 10)

Technologies used: C++, Linux, GCC, DDB debugger, EmPresent GUI Tool

The UD8000 Application is a Ultrasonic Diagnostic Imaging Equipment application. This

application is to be used as the User Interface of the Equipment. It comprises of around

1000 screens and 5 major modules. The application needs to be integrated with the

hardware later.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Understanding Customer's requirements

Preparation of the Requirement document and trace ability matrix

Design Document and Acceptance test cases preparation.

Coding and development of B-Axial module of the application.

Unit testing of the application

2. QTP Integration with QT

(Sep 09-Jan 10)

Technologies used: C++, Linux, GCC, DDB debugger, QT 3.3.4

Client had many applications running at his end made in QT. But he had no method to

automate their testing. So, it required a solution that could ease the efforts of

testing. For this purpose, the testing tool QTP was planned to be integrated with QT. The

technique was to make the events of all QT widget flow through QTP. As a result they

could be recorder. To play back, they need to be decoded and sent to the application. In

this way, QTP was integrated with QT. The solution was provided to the client.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Preparation of proof of concept and demos for the same.

Prepared the design document.

As per the business requirements designed the entire flow of the event loop.

Implemented the entire recording and playback logic.

Unit, System and integration testing of the application, Bug fixing

3. Development of Device Driver and Prepared OSD Application

(Dec 08-Aug 09)

Technologies used: C++, Windows, Visual Studio 6.0,EmPresent GUI Tool

The On Screen Display Application comprising of around 500 screens is to be made for

Mitsubishi Electric Corp Ltd. This application is to be used as the User Interface of the

projector. The Driver for graphic and bitmap drawing needed to be designed for this

application. Integration of the application with hardware registers is also part of this

project. As a result the inputs through remote were able to configure the hardware

settings. The target board used Norti RTOS and IAR compiler.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Understanding Customer's requirements

Preparation of the Requirement document and trace ability matrix

Design Document and Acceptance test cases preparation.

Handled Bitmap Drawing part of the hardware.

Mapped the OS calls.

Coding and development of different modules of the application.

Wrote the get/set APIs for hardware register settings

Unit and Integration testing of the application

Bug-fixing

4. Porting of Embedded GUI Tool, EmPresent

(Jun 08-Nov 08)

Technologies used: C++, Windows, Visual Studio 6.0,EmPresent GUI Tool

Ported the GUI tool EmPresent on ARM7TDMI board. The Board supported two different RTOS -

Power Pac and micrium. The porting was done on each of them. The Adaptation Subsystem

layer changes were being done. Demos were prepared and send to the clients. The major

target achieved was to make the demos run with minimum footprint and stack sizes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Understanding customer's requirement and prepared SRS (software requirement

specification)

Prepared HLD and test cases.

Changes done in Adaptation subsystem layer of the tool

Prepared the demos

Done testing of the entire application

5. Development of Soft Key Board(SKB) Application

(Nov 07-May 08)

Technologies used: : C++, Linux, GCC, DDB debugger, QT 3.3.4

Soft Keyboard or On Screen keyboard is an application which simulates a keyboard on the

display monitor. SKB application will have alphanumeric and special character keys and

one input box in it. User will press keys present on SKB and text will be inputted in the

input box. On press of the done button present on SKB, text will be written on the

application which invoked keyboard. In SKB, Sockets are used to provide the communication

among different application. Separate threads are created to handle socket communication.

SKB application provides the flexibility to design the look and feel of the application.

User is not required to recompile the application but only need to update an XML file to

get the desired effect. CGI is used to provide the communication in between web

applications and SKB.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Understanding Customer's requirements

Preparation of the Requirement document and trace ability matrix

Design Document and Acceptance test cases preparation.

Coding and development of the application.

Testing of the Application

6. Dynacomware Font Engine Integration to Embedded GUI Tool

(Jul 07-Oct 07)

Technologies used: C++, Unix, GCC, EmPresent GUI Tool, DDB debugger

Integrated Dynacomware fonts with EmPresent source to display fonts on X86 as well as on

target board (Armadillo). The fonts were derived from Dynacomware font files and drawn on

same routine. It supported all possible encoding as well as run time Scaling.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepared trace ability matrix

Prepared low level design document.

Involved in Designing of Font Integration with Embedded Tool - EmPresent.

Designed Font Conversion Layer

Prepared Examples

Testing of the application

7. Integrated Oracle Berkeley-Embedded Database with Embedded GUI Application

(Jan 07-Jun 07)

Technologies used: C, Unix, GCC, EmPresent GUI Tool, DDB debugger

Integrated Oracle's Berkeley DB with Embedded GUI Tool EmPresent.

Developed Phonebook application. The application maintains records of phonebook entries

using the Berkeley embedded database's functions. The integration was helpful to create

applications demanding lesser footprint and database compatibility and was successfully

achieved.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepared trace ability matrix

Prepared low level design document

Integrated Embedded Database Oracle's Berkeley DB using C.

Prepared demo of the application

Testing of the Application.
