Rand Worldwide, Inc., a private equity-backed business with more than $50
million of revenue, is a leading provider of design optimization solutions
to various manufacturing and engineering industries in five countries.
Rand specializes in providing services (such as technical support, training
and consulting) to its customers and is the largest North American value-
added reseller of Autodesk, Inc. Rand recently merged with its largest
competitor, Avatech Solutions, Inc. (OTC BB: AVSO).
Executive Vice President and CFO
Hired to affect a turnaround of this 25-year old, Toronto-based
business and to migrate its corporate functions to Massachusetts.
Responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, tax, treasury,
order management and financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Provided
financial and operational leadership in determining and executing
Rand's business strategies.
. Migrated all critical corporate functions from Toronto to
Massachusetts in a six-month period without disrupting Rand's on-
going business.
. Rebuilt entire F&A team, reducing administrative costs while
improving the quality of services delivered to the organization
as well as enhancing the transparency and integrity of financial
reporting.
. Established new data-driven corporate culture that emphasizes

. Participated in the rationalization of Rand's software platforms
reducing and optimizing ten systems to three, resulting in
reduced costs and increased efficiencies across the

. Lead or participated in the restructuring of significant
portions of Rand's businesses, including a 25% headcount
reduction, repositioning Rand to return to profitability.

. Negotiated and closed $12.5 million of senior secured financing
in the form of a three-year revolving credit facility with a
domestic bank.
. Enhanced liquidity through a fifteen day reduction in DSO's, an
80% reduction in inventory balances and aggressive management of
cash flows.
. Implemented various internal control procedures improving the
professionalism of Rand's day-to-day operations and establishing
a foundation for compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

increased automation and streamlined processes.

Moldflow Corporation, a former public company with revenue of $65 million
and operations in sixteen countries, was the leading global provider of
software and material characterization solutions that optimize injection
molded plastic products in all phases of the product design to manufacture
process. Moldflow was acquired by Autodesk Inc. in June 2008 for almost
$300 million.

Autodesk, including: the negotiation of deal terms; the planning

sales process, including: strategic planning sessions, due
diligence efforts, interactions with investment bankers and road
