SUBJECT: Skills and Work Summary
My experiences have been in manufacturing, material handling and processing
systems. I have worked in food, pharmaceutical, plastic operations and
equipment design. Also, I have had experience in the construction
industry. I know how important it is to work with "stake holders" of a
project either in-house or outside customers and vendors. A stand-alone
skill is listening, This is a major key of every project that requires
experience.
My specific skill set is understanding the flow of work, bringing in
ancillary systems to control and monitor the projects. The resulting
efficiencies and qualities of a project are directly related to the
knitting of technical and people system(s) to the organization.
As much as the people and technical aspects of a project are very
important, just as important, are what I call the "soft-side" of a
projects. This includes the development of drawings, purchasing
equipment, contractor contracts, scheduling, reports and anything else
that completes the project.
My resume follows this partial list of skills and experience summary.
General:
Project engineering
Process engineering
Project management
Skills:
Project engineering and management: structure design; construction of
85,000 sq. ft. metal-prefab building and silos; material handling equipment
such as (screw, belt, elevator and pneumatic conveyors).
Electrical background including PLC programming experience.
Experienced using AutoCAD 2006, P&ID, Excel, and Word for Windows.
Changed to PLC controls for: Alar waste water system, 4 color printing
system, and plastics vacuum former.
Supervised professional and skilled trades. This required to detailed to
electrical engineers and electricians the required processed start-up/shut-
down procedures and how sensors controlled the process.
History of supporting from concept through production. Improved process and
environment systems by working with plant team member groups.
Many times purchased specialized equipment for projects, as well as
contracts for installation.
Supervised plastics processing lines (extrusion, vacuum forming and
injection molding).
Supervised installation of a steam system for paper corrugating,
sterilization and cooking.
Processed flammable materials with pneumatic conveying systems by using
nitrogen gas instead of air.
Experienced in process engineering: experiences with CO2, LNG, ETO, and
HEAP filtration. Experienced in grinding, screening/sifting, mixing,
scaling, liquid pumps, and proper equipment layouts with the proper
control sequence using sensors.
Thank you for your time.
