PROOFREADING and EDITING
I have demonstrated the application of writing, editorial, and proofreading
skills to technical and non-technical communication materials. I am results
oriented, with the demonstrated ability to contribute in a dynamic business
context. As a professional proofreader and editor, I have been involved
with projects which included descriptive technical applications, extensive
graphics, and precise language for a variety of clients and their agencies,
primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. The client base has been broad,
with applications in advertising, product and process documentation, as
well as product inserts. I have excellent proofreading and editorial
skills, refined over the last four years. Most of my work during this
period was for The Creative Group as well as for Update Graphics, two
professional placement companies for editors, graphical artists, and
proofreaders.
FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE

Agency clients included IBM, Trio Medical Communications, the Medco Agency,
CommonHealth, Franklin Ideas LLP, Advanstar Communications, and the Anthem
Group. Tasks included proofreading of text and graphics, verifying
references, footnotes, and the general flow of materials. I was responsible
for the application of editorial style guidelines and content guidelines,
where applicable. At IBM, as a Pitney-Bowes Mailroom associate, I
delivered, collected, sorted and prepared ingoing and outgoing materials
(mail and UPS) on a daily basis for Pitney Bowes. Position ended when a
previously terminated mailroom associate successfully pressed a legal case
to be reinstated.

Canvassed the local census blocks for verification of addresses,
incorporating GPS-device map location, prior to the mailing of the 2010
Census materials.

As a freelance Consultant for Cavagna, North America, LLC, I addressed
inventory-related issues for the U.S. operations. Warehouse concerns
included inventory and shipping accuracy during a conversion to bar coding
for warehouse optical scanning capability. Site achieved ISO2000
certification.

Engineer, Production Planning, Warehousing Manager, and Operations Analysis
Manager. Later, as Consumer Communications Manager, I managed the
implementation of brand advertising budgets by the Mars advertising
