Systems Analysis and Design

Jan 10- May 10 The class project was to develop and

design an application system. We worked in teams of 3, the system we

designed was a web attendance system that used the RFID student id

cards to collect the data, and Access as the database. All the teacher

had to do is log on to the system and the attendance would be on

screen. Through the SDLC, we develop context level, e-r, use case and

data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, process specification, survey

forms to design user interfaces, from survey forms we got what the

Prof. wanted for the output screens.

Datacom and networking

Jan 10- May 10 This was also a team project, We had to evaluate and

recommend a system upgrade based on the problems a company was having.

We provided a recommendation along with costs of the necessary

equipment needed. The company needed a new call center for 300 reps,

this entailed that 320 systems, 320 microphones, Voxeo voip IVR, T3

connection, cloud software. Also the company was facing communication

issue from HQ to their division from using fax machines. Our proposal

was to upgrade to desktops and use cloud software, so the company

would be get up to the minute information from any division.
