states

. Performed high quality HR duties in a variety of capacities

including:

> Led the department upon the absence or unavailability of the

Director of HR and rained other HR workers in aspects of their

positions.

> Employee relations (including providing termination guidance, ER

support and misc. training for everyone from the CEO to the filing

. My goal when I was recruiting was to hire such high quality people at

all levels that all positions were filled internally with promotions,

and entry level positions were ready to be filled before an opening

had even occurred. I have (for the most part) accomplished this goal.

. Key Accomplishments

> Successfully reduced companywide turnover from 45% to 15% in 4

years.

> REDUCED COSTS: Training and replacement costs by approx. $1.3

Million 2006 - 2010. Reduced advertising costs by $34,000/

year. Reduced Overtime costs by over $600,000 (over 4 years) due

to innovative, flexible use of staffing.

> Lowered time-to-hire from 2 months (average) to 2 days (average)

by streamlining processes, hard work and determination.

Upgraded, updated and tracked all staffing metrics and

measurements to ensure maximum efficiency companywide.

> Significantly reduced liability in all areas by instituting

thorough investigation and termination training and procedures.

> Supported Operations in all functions to ensure maximum

saving MMBS multiple millions in potential costs. Using

staffing agencies was common practice prior to my time.

. Performed all supervisory level functions for the above listed

departments. Supervised between 2 - 7 employees at various times.

Responsible for: stock flow, store cleanliness, plano-gram updates,

employee counseling, full cycle training, maintaining security and the

profitability of the departments at all times.

> I accepted this position to assist the store manager (an

acquaintance of mine) who was in desperate need of a good

supervisor. The departments were in shambles when I arrived,

and was highly profitable when I departed.

. Key Accomplishments

> Achieved a record profit (for our location) of 250% + over

benchmark for Office Supplies with minimal staff. Achieved high

profitability for Office Supplies and Furniture in the months of

July, August, September and October. November and December were

highly profitable for Office Supplies only.

> Instituted a training and accountability system to ensure all

team members knew the daily goals. Re-trained all employees on

staff; trained all new employees; chose and fully trained my

successor.

Reason for Leaving: Very limited growth opportunities. 4 store

managers came and left during the time I was at Staples Fullerton. I

departed on very good terms with the remaining store management.

Target Inc. (Retail Store), West Covina, CA - Retail

Dates of Employment: 06/00 - 06/05

Title: Supervisor -Guest Services, Cashiers, Cart Attendants, Maintenance,

Food Court.

. Performed all supervisory level functions for the above listed

departments. Supervised between 6 - 16 employees at various times.

Responsible for: stock flow, area cleanliness, plano-gram updates,

guest service issue resolution, employee counseling, full cycle

training, scheduling, maintaining security, supervising the cart

attendants, ensuring prompt service. Other Duties: Warehouse ("Back-

Room"), logistics, merchandise flow and re-stock.

Reason for Leaving: Very limited growth opportunities. I departed on

very good terms with store management and remain friends with many to

this day.
