in Syria, Kuwait and Jordan.
. Coordinated a joint venture with Champion Technologies (Houston, TX).
This involved the transfer of chemical manufacturing technology in
order to establish production of certain oilfield chemicals.
. Initiated projects in the field to win contracts. These involved lab-
testing, development of appropriate products for specific applications
and subsequent field-testing.
. Enhanced business relationship with several vendors such as Rhone-
Poulenc, ICI Chemicals and Baker Petrolite.
. Set up wet reactor (surfactants - corrosion inhibitors, biocides,
cleaning agents, etc and dry reactor (CMC derivatives, starches,
etc manufacturing plants. Included the planning, engineering, lab
QA/QC set up, raw materials sourcing, installation, personnel training
and operation of both plants.
. Orchestrated the construction of two oilfield chemical laboratories.
Included designing, planning, contract negotiation and on-site
supervision.
. Head of Petrochemical Research and Development for 3 years. Entailed
foreseeing potential markets and applications and ensuring products
could be manufactured. Projects and research were directed in
enhanced-oil-recovery, completion cleanup, demulsifiers, scale
inhibitors, paraffin dispersants, biocides, corrosion inhibitors,
drilling polymers, etc... Chemistries involved were quaternaries,
biopolymers, sulfosuccinates, various surfactant groups, etc...

on issues of manufacturing scheduling, materials ordering, and
